Is it Difficult to say No?

 My friend Mini was teaching in private school. Mini was recently married. Her in laws family was very helpful and cooperative. 

Mini's mother in law was to go for wedding in different city. Before booking air ticket she checked with Mini, if she has some important assignment in school. Mini said"as if now she does not have any important duties to be performed in school." Mini's mother in law made all arrangements for her travel. 

It so happened school inspection dates were announced and they were same when Mini's mother in law was suppose to travel. 

My friend Mini was so confused she phoned me and said "madam I am encountering a difficult situation. My school inspection date is same as that of my mother in laws planed date to travel to different city. How will my mother in law take it if I tell my mom in law that I can not take leave from school as it is inspection of school. "I said" Yes Mini it is very difficult and tricky situation, but some time one has to take strong decision and for you it is to convey to your mother in laws I can not take leave from school  is difficult".

Mini was concerned how will she be taken for saying " No" in laws family. She felt lot of concern as she was very new at her in laws place. It so happened some how her husband was also not willing to come in this issue. 

Mini took a decision of saying "no".Initially her decision was taken in bad taste, and for that she had to face unpleasant situations. Gradually things improved. I am  happy that today Mini is being considered as responsible teacher at school. Even at her in laws family she is respected. I am so so happy for her. 

Moral of Story-Some time one has to take hard decision of saying " No", when one is expected to say "yes".

मैं स्कूल में साइंस टीचर हूं। मैं  विज्ञान का इतना आनंद चाहता हूं कि मैं चाहता हूं कि विज्ञान से प्यार करने वाले प्रत्येक छात्र को सीखने, वैज्ञानिक या इंजीनियर, डॉक्टर या यहां तक ​​कि एक अच्छा नागरिक वैज्ञानिक बनने का अवसर मिले। मेरा दृढ़ विश्वास है कि हमारे छात्रों को वह हासिल करना चाहिए जो वे जानते हैं कि वे क्या सही कर रहे हैं, या गलत हैं। वही STEM (विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग, गणित) को मान्यता प्राप्त करने के लिए सीखना और अध्ययन करना आवश्यक है। 

विज्ञान के रूप में शिक्षक के रूप में हमारा यह कर्तव्य है कि हम स्टेम बोर्ड के ढांचे के बारे में बताते हैं और उन्हें हमारे अंदर के हिस्सों से रोल मॉडल बनाते हैं।

मैं विज्ञान शिक्षक हूं, इसलिए मुझे हर चीज में विज्ञान पढ़ाने का अवसर मिलता है। मैं अपने विद्यार्थियों को पढ़ता हूँ। अगर हममें से हर कोई खुद को बचा सकता है, अपने परिवार को बदल सकता है, अपने समुदाय को वैज्ञानिक तरीके से रख सकता है एक छोटा सा काम कर सकता है, तो हम एक ऐसा बदलाव ला सकते हैं जो पूरी दुनिया में बदल जाएगा।

विद्यालय में माध्यमिक स्तर पर समस्या उत्पन्न होती है। छात्रों को गणित बहुत कठिन और सारगर्भित लगता है। गणित के लिए बहुत अधिक अभ्यास और कड़ी मेहनत की आवश्यकता होती है। उस स्तर के छात्र इसके अधिकारी नहीं होते हैं। जिन लोगों को गणित में अच्छी दिशा मिलती है, वे एसटीएम में गहराई तक जाने में रुचि रखते हैं। 

कुछ सैमुअल लोग यह नहीं समझ पाए कि माध्यमिक स्तर पर गणित में वे कंप्यूटर विज्ञान और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी में गणित अच्छा नहीं हो सकता। गणित की गहन जानकारी न होने के कारण वे STEM प्रोजेक्ट्स में बहुत पीछे रह जाते हैं। 

मैं विज्ञान शिक्षक के रूप में अपने विद्यार्थियों को गणित का महत्व सिखाता हूँ। सौभाग्य से मेरे छात्र स्टाईम कॉलेज में अच्छे हैं और वे सकारात्मक तरीकों से राष्ट्रीय निर्माण में योगदान दे रहे हैं।

कहानी से सीखें- STEM ज्ञान देश का स्टॉक बनता है। इसलिए यह हमेशा अच्छा होता है कि छात्रों को स्टेमिनार का अच्छा ज्ञान अपने पास रखना चाहिए।

Eating Habit and Culture.

 I am teaching in school. The other day I was talking to students in school. 

One student said "madam we Indians eat our food dal, chapati, rice, vegetables on dinning table. Chapati we eat with hand fingers. But while eating rice I use spoon. " .Other student Padma said"We South indians eat mixed dal rice with hands. We do not eat with spoon. Other student Chang Chinese) said "madam

 our stapel food is also rice but we use chopsticks 🥢 to eat that. We are comfortable with that".

I said" Dear student every country has its own  culture of eating 🍲. Each culture has positive points. It all depends on climate, weather and temperature of that country. I as indian prefer to eat dal roti, and rice with hand fingers. But I don't think involving palm of hand while eating is good habit. I involve my right hand while eating and left hand I keep free to displace bowl of eatables near me Or far from me. In this procedure of eating I find lot of satisfaction. Moreover my hand knows how much food my mouth can accommodate. These are  positive points I find in my culture style of eating Therefore I recommend to others."

I further said"chopsticks are good but when I eat rice with their help , it is convenient for me but it does not give me that satisfaction when I eat  my food with help of fingers of hand. "

Moral of story-Some Indian food give one lot of satisfaction when eaten with fingers of hand.

Artist with canvas of heart and spirit

 I am teaching science in Govt school. My friend Shradha is art teacher. For open house activity of school she organised big exhibition of different art which she has been teaching. It was all wow wow for our students whose hand is so clean and perfect in various art forms. Some painting were so good and real as if they

will speak very soon. There were painting with sketch pen and crayons. 

Many students have  taken water colour as medium. Other students loved to oil colours. Many students have chosen art collage as form of their expression. Many have put painting in form of digital collage. My science students have expressed many concept of chemistry as digital collage. It was fun to see different students involvement in different art form. 

I met head girl of school who was supervising students and helping Visitors in case they had some queries. I

 asked Nilima please tell me name off artist who used heart and spirit as her/his expression medium. Neelima was confused. She had no answer---. I said"Neelima a sincere teacher is an artist who uses her/his spirit and heart to make art with different talent of her/his student. 

Neelima had big smile on her face and said"right madam teachers are biggest artist who used hear and spirit as medium of expression of their sry form.

Opportunity to vote

 Other day I was talking to student about our country India democracy. Students who voted for first time showed me their finger marked with blue ink. I asked"what is meaning of getting your finger colored with blue ink".I said"it is not part of procedure of democracy only but something more than that. "

One student said"we are in process of selecting our leader".Other student said"but madam leader we select should have good vision of how to make our country grow in prosperity. "Another student said" Madam we should choose our leader who does not believe in corruption ".I said very good students the bases of good democracy is intelligent participation by every one".One student said" Madam free bee policy is going to make our citizen lazy"

This can only be implemented if everyone work with one's wisdom. I said" One should consider oneself lucky if one gets opportunity to vote for choosing leader of country. This unique opportunity is time to celebrate.The celebration is complete only when one gets right kind of leader who is working 24x7 for country. I wish all of us work toward this goal".

Moral of story - In democracy though it may seem getting fingure colored blue is significant but intelligent participation by every one for betterment of country should be converted to voting is very important.

 Other day I was talking to my student. One student was so much excited about artificial soft ware he said"madam with science technology and artificial soft ware around one can get results over night"

I said"please don't be confused that is not realistic statement dear student. Even with good Artificial intelligence software of science technolgy one gets good results overtime not  over night. There fore please be consistent in your hard work and work with honesty  and patience to get desired results. "

Moral of story-in every phase of life consistent work and patience is key to success.

Recipe to make Good Friends

 The other day I was talking to my students. One student asked me very valid question. Madam how to make good friends. Please tell us recipe to make good friends. 

I said"students I will give you small but effective recipe for same. To start with give importance to everyone who so ever you meet or interact. Irrespective of one you meet is small, big or rich or poor. Gradually you will observe some friends will stand with you in your thick and thin circumstances. Consider them as your good friend. Other friends will not stand with you in odd circumstances. They are friends whose behavior teach you many things in life. 

Moral of story-please give importance to everyone in life.
