Magic of numeral one

I am a science teacher in a government school. I am in charge of #co-curricular activities of the school. I was helping students in class nine solve some of the #CBSE mathematics questions from the NCERT textbook.

One student asked me, "Madam, some of my good friends do not like mathematics as they think it becomes too #abstract sometimes. "

I said, "Dear student, today,  I will tell you a little story of #numeral One. Using it in a different context can lead to a different meaning altogether. "

Some of the relevant examples I am listed below.

1. When one and one together become two, it becomes a mathematical  #equation.

2. When one and one together become eleven, it becomes an #organization.

3. When one and one together remain one, it signifies the context of real #love.

4. When one and one are not allowed to come together, it becomes the context of #diplomacy.

5. When one stands opposite to one, it becomes the context of #politics.

My student said, " Madam, in a group, the 'number one' can represent the leader or the most prominent member. "

I further said, "In a story, the 'number one' can symbolize the first character introduced."

Student said, "In mathematics, '1' is used to represent a single object, a unit of measurement, or the identity element in multiplication. ".

My student further said, "In computer science, '1' can represent a boolean value of 'true' or be used in binary code as a fundamental digit. "

So friends! You see how numeral one can do #magic. It contributes in different formats, in different contexts, in the description of "organization, love, diplomacy and politics.

In essence, the number one, though seemingly simple, is a powerful symbol and a fundamental concept with far-reaching implications across various fields.

In conclusion, the number 1 is more than just a digit; it's a fundamental concept with deep mathematical and symbolic meaning. It represents the core of quantity, the starting point of processes, and the essence of singularity.

Moral- Mathematics may look abstract, sometimes.  Mathematical numerals can do magic in different contexts of a particular issue in life.

Money Flows by Your thought

I was talking to my students in  co-curricular activity class.

My student  Radha said, " There are people in life who always think that the more we earn more there will be a positive  change in our life."

I said, " Dear students, according to me, if one is good at saving money, then he/she can improve his/her life. Even small savings give satisfaction and help one in leading a peaceful, happy life."

Radha said," Madam, if earning money gives you power, then saving money gives you wisdom."

I said, " Dear Radha, that is a strong reason that a wise man can never be poor in the real sense of the word".

Radha said, " Saving money could be small, but it has a positive  impact on your personality throughout your life."

Radha said, " Wise men think twice before spending even a penny. Is it worth spending this much money or not? Is the question they ask themselves. "

The most important teaching in life is that money not only goes from the pocket, but if you happen not to think positively, then money also goes to waste. If your thinking is not mature and you keep spending on unnecessary things, thinking that it is OK to spend this way, this thinking will not have a positive impact on your personality.

Moral - Positive thinking plays a great role in saving money.

Smart grocery billing and saving on electricity bills help in saving money. These activities will bring positive change to life.

Opportunity to Refine Your Teaching Skill

I am a science teacher in a government school. This year few #student teachers came to do practice teaching(practice teaching is part of a bachelor's education degree) in my school. My school principal, Madam, assigned me the responsibility to ensure that student teachers are comfortable in the training of practice teaching.

I happened to meet them(student teacher)while taking my regular classes.

I did understand since the Student Teacher did not have any experience teaching, therefore, facing the class initially may be a little #difficult.

I had a meeting with all Student Teachers and said, "Dear Student Teacher! You should feel proud that you  have the fortune of teaching talented,  #brilliant, visionary and thoughtful students."

I continued my talk and said, "Friends! A teacher can not choose her/his teaching journey circumstances. Since students come from various backgrounds therefore there are many problems a teacher faces in his/her teaching journey. An alternative option to harder problems in the teacher journey is that the teacher should feel grateful to the Almighty and, in heart, express gratitude to her/his worthy students. It's because of students, teachers that move forward  in her/ his journey."

This experience of helping student teachers at our school also helped me. I realised when I was helping student teachers that this exercise did not just benefit them, but it is benefited me well: I got a fresh perspective. Student teachers are learning all the new and innovative strategies through computer tools, so this has benefited me. It helped me refine my teaching skills.

Moral- A teacher should enjoy helping/imparting knowledge.

Grandfather-Granddaughter Duo

I am  my grandfather's candle light,

I keep account of all his activities,

What is he eating?,

At what time is he eating?

The diet recommended  by doctors,

Is he eating?

Has he taken his medicine?

 Prescribed by a doctor?.

My grandfather  is a patient  of asthma,

I keep track,

If he has taken his required dose,

Of asthma medicine through a puff?.

Did he go for his evening  walk?,

Did he go to collect bread and fruits for me?

In the evening from the market nearby,

Are his clothes ironed properly?,

That's why Dadaji calls me,

His daughter's candlelight is bright.

I share with him all my academic,

 Homework difficulties,

Dadaji tells me tricks to handle,

 My problems,

He encourages me in the field every day.

He is my best friend,

When he is out of the home,

His absence at home disturbs me,

When he  goes to his village,

For a few days,

For his return and safety,

I pray daily.

With him, I have a different  type,

 Of  bonding strongly,

We understand  each other,

Even without uttering a few words.

My grandfather  loves me,

He will not take,

His food was without seeing me,

God bless Grand grand-granddaughter-grandfather duo,

Journey equal to destination

Sudesh, Radha, Rani and Sita were bright students of our school.

Sudesh was very smart in presenting her arguments with excellent body language. Her dance performance in school was very impressive.

Radha was a loyal student. She was good at helping her friends. She was firm in supporting a cause.

Rani was smart. She believed in doing every work carefully. I always took help from her while dealing with school finance accounts.

Sita was smart, but she believed in helping deserving people within her boundaries. After school, she used to teach underprivileged students at our school. She used to derive pleasure from those activities.

Sudesh, Radha, Rani and Sita followed different paths after school life. But each has decided her path according to her passion and philosophy that she believed to be good.

In the alumni association function, I happened to meet Sudesh, Radha, Rani and Sita. Each student has many positive and negative things to tell about their personal and professional journey.

If you enjoy the journey of life, it becomes equivalent to the destination.

I said, "Dear girls, I am happy each one of you  had a beautiful personal and professional journey."

To make girls understand that the journey of an individual is very important. I said, "Girls' experiences, growth, and lessons learned during the journey, they are just as significant as reaching the intended outcome."

Radha said," Madam, this perspective encourages us to appreciate the present moment and find meaning in the steps taken along the way, rather than solely focusing on the final result. "

Rani said, "Madam, life is not a race to the finish line."

I said, "Students, please remember  that the journey is equal to the destination' is a very important lesson of life."

Sudesh said," Yes, madam, it suggests that both the process of striving towards a goal and the achievement of that goal are equally important and valuable."

I further said, "We must appreciate the present moment and find meaning in the steps taken along the way, rather than solely focusing on the final result. "

Sita said, "Madam, life is not a race to the finish line. It’s a journey to be savored and enjoyed, not rushed through."

Sita further said," Madam, I do understand that there is no point focusing on getting to the destination as quickly as possible. We must focus on enjoying every step along the way.

Moral -

There is no use getting caught up in the rat race of life. If it happens sometimes please take a step back and try to enjoy the journey.

Don’t focus on getting to the destination as quickly as possible , focus on enjoying every step along the way.

You feel pain to see positive people

You meet many people in life,

Some have a positive attitude,

Some have a negative attitude,

Even if you are in pain,

Uncomfortable, anxious and scared,

Negative people use sufferer,

For their interest personal,

Posing as if he is helping a sufferer.

At those difficult moments,

At time people are positive,

Give  support to the sufferer,

In difficult circumstances.

In this exercise sufferer,

 Ignores a negative person,

 Who, with his  character double,

Targets and uses the sufferer  for his gains,

Thinking sufferer being used is an innocent person,

Does not understand his intentions, fishy.

But that is not true,

An intelligent sufferer knows the reality,

The sufferer knows a negative person,

Can not make him suffer  long,

And with a positive attitude,

The sufferer will come out,

Of wrong wrong doings of a person.

But a suffering person feels pain,

 To see positive people,

Sincerely helping the sufferer,

With a wish for no return of gains.
