I always advise my students and say, " It is OK, you go for extra help in the form of tuition from outside sources of school in difficult school subjects like physics and mathematics. If you are sincere, you will benefit. But if you take this exercise lightly, it may not be of any help to you."
I further say," In essence, 'students please carry your water' is a reminder to be resourceful, take initiative, and appreciate the value of what you achieve through your hard work by practicing difficult and tricky problems of maths by making sincere efforts."
I further say, " Students, please note, all great persons you meet in your life, please remember they have carried their water at one or other stage of their life. That's why they are so eminent today."
One day after this educational and meaningful discussion with my students in this regard, I had a lovely dream at night. The same I am listing below for my respected readers.
I am water. Women in the village carry me from far-off places to cook. They know the value of my every drop. Nobody makes any provision for women of the house so that they can get clean water for household use. On top of that, all family members overlook the effort and care done by the woman of the house. Family members take her sincere efforts for granted.
A positive point in this process is very important. A homemaker deeply comes to understand what it takes to be a responsible person. Since a home homemaker does work herself, she comes to fully appreciate the value of the water(me) she uses.
In essence, Madam, this saying "carry your water" is a reminder that true understanding is that every drop of me represents the effort, patience, and care needed to achieve a home maker's goals.
I said," Yes, Mr.Water, what you are saying is one hundred percent true."
Soon, I realised it was time for me to go to school. I shared this dream with my students and friends in school.
One student said, "Madam, this saying 'carry your water' is so meaningful and carries a lot of weight and deep meaning for students. We must practice the same and build our wonderful life."
I, as a teacher, am so happy for my students who understood the concept of self learning through saying "carry your water."
Moral -In essence, this saying, "carry your water," is a reminder that true understanding and appreciation come not from observation, but from action. When you take responsibility for your action journey, you learn to cherish the process and value every part of it.
