Wise Daughter

Mr and Mrs Gupta are my next door neighbours. They have one daughter Radha. Radha was my brilliant student in my school.

Since childhood, Radha daughter of Mr and Mrs Gupta had one peculiar habit —

About 4–5 days before her birthday, she would start asking,

“Papa and mom, did you buy the gift  for my birthday?"

Mr and  Mrs Gupta would smile and shake their head, saying no.

Radha would yell in anger.

But on her birthday, when she would  get a surprise gift, from her parents her happiness would knew no bounds!

This time, Radha was at her in-laws’ home.

Still, Mr and Mrs Gupta bought a gift and went to her in -laws house, intending to surprise Radha on her birthday.

Quietly, they entered the house .Up to their surprise from inside, they could hear Radha crying, and her husband and mother-in-law arguing loudly.

Mrs Gupta said " Madam my  heart sank. Heavy-hearted, we turned around and walked away. Standing on the main road outside, we called Radha through mobile phone and expressed our wish to visit her."

She replied,

“Papa, mom please donot come today . We’re going out for dinner —my parent in laws and my husband are celebrating my birth day .We all are going  for dinner outside. After all it’s my birthday today."

I said "Madam Gupta, your daughter Radha , who once seemed so delicate yet stubborn, how much she  has changed with time…"

I further said "Mrs Gupta please do   not worry about Radha. With time things will improve. These small  happenings  here and there are little human errors in woman's life which make her strong  perfect daughter  and daughter in law.You should  feel proud of Radha."

Mrs Gupta did not utter a single word but tears rolled down her cheeks. Are you also wise daughter?

Moral - Human emotions change  with respect to time.

Learn Secrets of Your Limits

I remember when I was in primary school, my mother used to put so many limits on my day-to-day activities. I was an obedient child and was very fond of following the limits #instructed by my mother."

When I joined secondary school, I realized that limits help us to organize in planning our time, energy and other #resources. My mother used to tell me, "My child, when I put  limits that do not do internet surfing too much, this is for your benefit only. The environment has limited resources; therefore, never overuse them. Put a limit on its use."

My mother said," Please do #optimal use of resources. There is an optimal amount of investment needed for everything we do in life. Which is nothing but setting limits. Limits help us #prioritize tasks, allocate time for work, leisure, and rest, and maintain a #balanced lifestyle."

She further added, "My child, we have many people to please daily."

I said, "Mom, it's not a simple task to do so."

My mother said, "To manage all demands  of others and take care of your own needs at the same time, one has to fix reasonable #boundaries on every activity, which means knowing and understanding what your limits are and placing a #value on them."

I further said," Mom, we all face limits in life. Often they are for the things that we wish we could change about our #situation, our abilities or even our relationships."

My mother said," Some common limitations of life include:

 1. Limited time: Our time on this earth is limited and we can't get back time that has already passed.

2. Limited physical abilities: As we age, our physical abilities and health may decline.

3. Limited knowledge: There is a vast amount of information and knowledge out there that we will never be able to learn or experience the whole. We can only know a limited amount in our #lifetime."

I said, "Mom, when we drive a car, we put a limit on our driving speed, as the road has #speed limit. We wish to deposit money in a bank. But we have to follow bank orders. As every bank has #money limit, one can deposit."

I further  said, "While writing our exam, we wish that we could be given #infinite time to do so, but every exam has a #time limit."

I further added, "Mom, give me one example from daily life where there is #no value put to limit.

My mom said, "Thinking has no limit, so #think big and #achieve big.

I said, "Mom, these are  #secrets of life. Thanks for #sharing the same with me."

How to Value Time

I am a science teacher in a government school. My friends who are doctors in big hospitals, I find they have hardly any #spare time. They are always in #short of time.

Some of my childhood friends are blessed by God to be part of prosperous families. But I find they have many helpers at home. They tell me sometimes, "Sukarma, it is very #difficult for us to pass our time". They themselves further say "Sukarma  we repent that at the right  time  in our life we never learnt any skill #positive, so that we could help out #needy if we wanted in our spare time. "

I sometimes very humbly tell my respected childhood #friends " There are many ways to spend time. For doing so, one must organize one's life in #systematic manner. ".

There are so many important aspects of " Time". A few of them I am listing below for my esteemed readers.

1. One can't #see time. But when the clock says tick tick, one can realize time is #moving'.

2. Time is a guide that shows one #many happenings in life.

3. Time teaches one that many people in one's vicinity keep showing one that I am in your favour and love you from the core of #heart. But when the time comes to help, they are somehow not able to show favour.

4. Experience of #bad time in one's life is a #litmus test. Difficult time in one's life shows who is really our #own. A person doing #lip service is also recognized by one.

Moral -one should never feel proud that one will never get #bad time in one's life.

Fixing Boundries of Saying No

I am a science teacher in a government school. Initially, when I joined school, many senior teachers used to help me by giving me experience of different activities at school. It was good for me. But I found that sometimes I became so busy in school that I started missing my lunch. At that junction, I realized that I must learn the art of politely saying#no.

After one year of my stay at school, I became a little bold and started communicating with senior teachers about my boundaries to help students. I said, "Sir, shortage of time will #not permit me to help the student at a particular phase. "

Sometimes it was difficult to help my colleagues reach their destination through my car driver, as my driver has limitations of #not being very well versed with different routes of the city. In that case, I will say #no and clearly explain the situation to the person who has made his/her request.

Once, my senior teacher requested that I change my class with him. I politely explained to him that this change is #not possible, as for this arrangement to be possible, one has to take permission from the principal madam.

Once, my neighbor requested me water his plants in his absence. I politely explained," I can water your plants, sir, twice a week . Every day watering your plants is beyond my #resources ".

Above mentioned are examples in my life where I started learning the art of saying "no".

Moral - Before entertaining one's request for help, one should be aware of one's time and resources and limitation. So, according to the same, one should draw one's boundaries.

Respect family you have created

I am a science teacher in a government school. #Alumni of our school are doing very well in their #respective fields.

As a teacher, I have observed that sometimes many individuals are not able to concentrate on their #family life. I say "friends, your #children need more  #physical, emotional and moral support at a young age than anybody else. If that support is given by #parents and #teachers in time, there is more improvement in their #personality. A stitch in time saves nine is a true statement for them. Some individuals #unknowingly give more support to family from which they are coming. I agree that it is a very good idea if one is concentrating on family from which one is coming, but at the same time, it is equally important to concentrate on #family which one is creating. Please do not #neglect that family at any cost. That family also needs physical, emotional and financial support. Concentrating on the same will give one a peaceful life. If somehow one misses that train, it is very difficult to cover up #shortcomings of the same. Friends #time is very important in life, and taking the right #decisions with #respect to time in #personal and #professional life is very important. Using these decision-making powers at the right time can save one from many agonies of life. "

Moral - Taking #right decisions at the right time is a sign of #maturity. This is much more important with #respect to the family you are creating.
