Hand-Eye-Mind Coordination

I am a science teacher in a government school. There are  #students coming from different types of backgrounds in my class. When I teach in class, some serious types of students prefer to write salient points of my lecture in #notes copy by #hand, they bring every day to school.

Other students will sit and listen to my lecture, unless I give them some #numerical problems to solve in the classroom.

These students are strong # believers that all important points of my lecture they will get from #NCERT books, and if more knowledge is needed, they will explore #internet sites and YouTube, giving the required information. These students are # digitally friendly persons.

My submission to all my students is that it is better to write class notes of any lecture given by the teacher in class with hands in a note notebook, as this activity makes the student hand-eye-mind coordination good and makes them alert in class. If there are doubts about a particular concept in a student's mind, they can be cleared then and there by #interactive activities between the student and the teacher. This will make the learning process more efficient for #students. Students this way become more creative and #develop various skilled #faculties. They do not require apparatus (machine)and electricity, #dependent on any work. This activity also makes students self-dependent and #adventurous.

Many students say, "Madam, taking notes with hands is an old school thought. One has to keep a note copy safe and handy. "Other students are of the view that they find writing notes with their hands a very powerful way of #learning.

Moral- to make one's mind active and sharp, students should follow the old school of thought and write notes with their hand.

Leader Raising Voice

I am a science teacher in a government school. I had a very #brilliant student, Radha, in my class. I had made her monitor of class. She was very #meticulous in her work. She had scientific aptitude. For executing small science experiments in the lab, I  always used to take her help. She used to give new ideas to group mates involved in #executing a science experiment. She had good skills in making a report of the experiment. I always used to suggest other students in my class to #consult Radha before submitting a report of a science experiment.

Unfortunately, Radha had a habit of #raising her voice with her friends when they were not able to follow her instructions. Since Radha was in the habit of #raising her voice so other students always used to complain to me, "Madam Radha is a good leader, but she #raises her voice whenever we are not able to implement her instructions. We feel Madam Radha has #superiority complex. "

I called Radha and said, "Radha, it is not good to #raise your voice while giving your valuable consultations to fellow students. Please practice # self-control to make yourself a better science student. It is better to raise your words. Using words which give #positive appeal in an argument with fellow students always brings #positive results.' 'Radha started following my advice, and I observed she used to try her best not to #raise her voice with fellow friends and students. Radha became a better #leader. She herself realised that positive change in her personality has made her a more #accepted and popular leader of students. Are you also in habit of raising voice?

Moral - #Raising voice is not going to help one make one's argument effective. It is better to make efforts to #raise positive words in one's argument #statement.

Advise by Well Wisher

Teach science in a government school. When I was young in my profession, I always used to follow #advice of my senior teachers. I always believed in learning from #experienced people. I learnt many useful #tricks from my respected mother-in-law. How nicely she would handle #difficult situations.

Now in this era of science and technology, I sometimes # advise my younger colleagues. But #opinion of society in general has changed a lot. If my friends see me #advising younger colleagues, they make fun of me. My friends tell me, "Madam, stop #advising, nobody wants to listen to your stereotypical advice. On the other hand, they make fun of you, madam".

Now, after many years, I met many people with whom I have had the opportunity to interact on any platform. They sometimes tell me, "Madam, we are following your valuable advice. " Inside my heart, I feel happy.

I am in the habit of giving #positive compliments to students/teachers if I find something #unique in their ways of #approaching a problem. The other day I met my old student, he told me, " Madam, your positive compliments about my way of #approaching problems have given me #strength. When I sit alone, and always thank you for your #encouragement. "

I strongly believe that one cannot only help people around oneself by giving #monetary and physical help. People can be helped by #someone's #positive compliment and #advice.

Hidden Contribution of Home Maker

It was 10 pm. I was falling #asleep. One angel-like, gentle lady came to me and said, "My child! I am sorry I am disturbing you. Look, dear, #Yamraj ji has come to me to take me to #God. He says your time on earth is over. I told # Yamrajji ji, please wait for a while. I came #running to you, dear. "

Gentle lady further said, " My child, today I got a lot of green #vegetables from the market. I have to cut all those vegetables, and those vegetables are to be arranged in #freezer of the fridge. Other wise all vegetables will go to waste. My child, one important task I wish to do before going to #God. That task is I wish to visit my #locker in the bank.  I wish to distribute my #ornaments among my kids. Other important tasks are as follows

 1. I must bring #groceries that are needed to be filled in the kitchen store.

 2. I have fixed some money in the bank. It's time for me to #extend that fixed money time period."

She continued talking to me and said, "You know my child I can't do bank money transactions # online as I am not digitally #literate. Now I repent so much for not learning the operations of these #digital apps. "

Gentle lady further said, "My child, I have to grind #idly batter. Tomorrow I plan to give idly as a packed #lunch for office goers. I have made Yamraj ji understand my #problems and have been repeatedly requesting # Yamraj ji not to take me to God. But he is not #agreeing to my request. Therefore, dear child, if Yamraj ji takes me along with him, I request you to complete my household task, which I have #mentioned to you. "

It was time for me to get up. I realized that #angel lady was my mother.  I was confused what type of #dream was this. ---

Moral -people think that # homemakers have nothing #challenging work to do at home. That is not true. Homemakers are  backbone of any family.

My grandmother Wisdom

My #grandmother used to live in Punjab. During the summer holidays, we used to visit her. She was a very #positive and #hardworking lady. She taught us many things that I still use in my life.

She was an early riser and would make us(grandchildren)rise in the morning. She believed in #recycling of paper. She will make us #soak papers in water, and then will put #multani mitti in it, and from the mixture we will make good baskets. All #wrapping paper, she used to store for her grandchildren. She used to help us kids use that paper in making covers for all the reading books available at home.

Summer used to be the time for #raw mangoes. She used to make many varieties of mango # pickles. She will take our help in making those pickles. I still use her # recipes to make mango pickles.

Whenever my grandmother will # boils vegetables, with water from boiled vegetables, she will make #soup for us. Same procedure I still follow.

With dried #orange peels and #black gram flour, my grandmother will make a body scrub for us. This procedure taught us how to make a # chemical-free scrub for the body.

My grandma was friendly with her neighbors, and that's why people in her #neighborhood were so kind to us(grandchildren). Now I realize this was so because my #grandparents were not self-centered. They always were eager to solve #neighborhood problems if they could. This way, my grandparents had earned so much # goodwill from neighbors. So neighbors in return used to treat us (grandchildren)with kindness #Jesters.

After finishing her household #chores, my grandma will teach us #mental maths tricks. Same, I am using it till today. She has the art of winning her children's hearts so much so that we #grandchildren never wished to come back from # grandparents' house.

Now, after growing old, I realize how much I have learnt from my #grandma. Her every teaching is a precious treasure for us, which I am passing on to my #daughters. I miss my #grandmother every moment.

Please Do not Let any Body Down

I am a science teacher in a government school. My sister Gita was preparing for the NEET #examination. Four girls in our neighborhood were also preparing for the same. The group of four girls used to go for coaching for above mentioned #national test preparation together. Families of all four friends were living nearby.

Since the NEET examination is very #competitive, all four girls were working very hard for the same. They were the talk of the colony for their #unending efforts to clear the #examination.

Before the NEET(physics, chemistry, biology)examination, there were #CBSE theory and practical examinations. All four girls took the said examination with #sincere efforts. Girls were under a lot of pressure as they used to #appear for the National Eligibility (NEET) between the CBSE examinations.

As I mentioned above #all four girls had many challenges at their disposal. After the CBSE examination, all four girls appeared for the NEET examination. As luck would have it, out of four girls, three girls cleared NEET and got placed in  #first merit list. My sister's name was on the waiting list.

My sister was disturbed by her NEET entrance #results. Another disappointing factor was that every Tom and Harry of our #colony made my sister #let down for the same.

I said, "Dear sister, please have patience and don't get #disappointed. These things are part of life. "

NEET merit list moved #forward and fortunately, my sister got #seat in one of the good medical colleges. She was very  #happy for the same.

It is always good to do sincere observation in one's life and then decide who are the people one should #shake hand with and move #forward.

Moral -The world is a mixture of many kinds of people. It may so happen that one may get #insulted or let down by even loved ones. Best is to go for them and #move forward.

Motherhood Journey

I am a science teacher in a government school. I am also #mother of two adolescent kids.

I must say motherhood is a pleasant journey in many aspects. But at the same time, sometimes this journey gives mother #emotional jerks.

Every #mother enjoys her little toddler's activity, but at the same time, she is #anxious when her toddler will start going to play #school. That mother's anxiety can not be explained in words.

My daughter was very good at swimming. It was very #proud moments for me (mother) when my daughter used to get medals in #sports activities. But when my daughter used to go for sports activity outside side #district, I used to feel # emotionally drained. The whole time was spent by me(mother) in counting the moments, and waiting when my #daughter will be back home. In other words, #motherhood journey is like preparing a child for future challenges, but always asking oneself (mother), has she done enough?

I must say motherhood is a pleasant journey in many aspects. But at the same time, sometimes this journey gives mother #emotional jerks.

# Motherhood journey does give mothers proud and Peaceful moments. But the entire journey of #motherhood has many challenges. Mother feels lost when her #nest gets empty. It is very difficult for #mother to accept that her children have #grown up and will gradually make their #own life path. It takes a lot of time and courage for #mother to come to new terms of a new phase of #motherhood.

Some mothers in their #motherhood journey take a break from their professional journey to concentrate on their #motherhood journey.

Moral. - The motherhood journey of any mother is full of #difficult situations. Mothers handle those situations with grace and #compassion.

How to Value Time

I am a science teacher in a government school. My friends who are doctors in big hospitals, I find they have hardly any #spare time. They are always in #short of time.

Some of my childhood friends are blessed by God to be part of prosperous families. But I find they have many helpers at home. They tell me sometimes, "Sukarma, it is very #difficult for us to pass our time". They themselves further say "Sukarma  we repent that at the right  time  in our life we never learnt any skill #positive, so that we could help out #needy if we wanted in our spare time. "

I sometimes very humbly tell my respected childhood #friends " There are many ways to spend time. For doing so, one must organize one's life in #systematic manner. ".

There are so many important aspects of " Time". A few of them I am listing below for my esteemed readers.

1. One can't #see time. But when the clock says tick tick, one can realize time is #moving'.

2. Time is a guide that shows one #many happenings in life.

3. Time teaches one that many people in one's vicinity keep showing one that I am in your favour and love you from the core of #heart. But when the time comes to help, they are somehow not able to show favour.

4. Experience of #bad time in one's life is a #litmus test. Difficult time in one's life shows who is really our #own. A person doing #lip service is also recognized by one.

Moral -one should never feel proud that one will never get #bad time in one's life.

Are You Welcomed Guest

I am a science teacher in a government school. My friend Rita English teacher, has joined my school. We are friends, and whenever time permits #Rita discusses her thought #provoking problems with me.

Rita's parents live 800 Km away from Rita, because Rita is #married in a different state. She feels sad as she can't reach her #parents when they are unwell.

There are days when Rita hardly has a word with her #parents due to the unending responsibilities of raising two little humans and looking after #her parents-in-law.

Sometimes my friend Rita had a strong urge to be around her parents and cook their #favourite dish, sit with her parents and laugh her heart out, re-live those childhood #moments which have become golden days now

Travelling with two kids over such a long distance was not easy for Rita. Moreover, children have #schools.

I said, dear Rita, "One must prioritise change with time in one's life. It is a fact of life that our world #resides in our parents when we are young.#Marriage takes away a lot of things from a girl's life. Her home, where she grew up, saw the ups and downs of life, the city, and friends. All vivid  #memories she cherished later on. Married girl not only gets a new and tempting # wardrobe but a fresh set of responsibilities the moment she gets married."

I further said, "Dear Rita, for you and your husband was at the topmost priority until you became a mother. Right now, your#children are your topmost priority in your life This priority will change when your children grow up. They will get busy in their careers and #married life. Then, again, your husbands will become your priority, I believe. We also know our life partners are supposed to be a support #system of each other till their last breath."

Rita said, "Being a married girl, I don't think I will ever be able to #prioritise my parents."

I said " Dear Rita, this happens because a married girl no longer remains in their parents' family in the sense that she  has moved one step forward and has her own family, which she has created and #supporting right now. But dear Rita fact remains, #married girl of the family becomes a warm and always welcomed guest at her parents' house.

How to use Dry Leaves of Garden

am science teacher in government school. My house in city has big garden. There are many fruit #trees in my garden. Two mango trees give lovely mangoes from month of April to June. One jamun and guava tree. Both give fruits in #rainy season. Lemon tree give fruits in #winter season.

In fall/spring season there is #fall of old leaves and #trees get new leaves. During #spring season fruit tree gardens are full of fallen #dry leaves. The dry leaves are to be raked some how from tree garden.

But new science research points out that it is no use raking garden dry leaves and keeping heap of those  leaves outside garden. This process will help in making gutter of lane get jammed up with dry leaves.

New science research further  suggest that  while raking dry leaves of garden  it is best to #break them in small pieces with help of lawn mower and let them #evenly spread in garden. This process will help dry leaves to form #ecosystem for very minute animals - vertebrate/non vertebrate and their offsprings which will help them to #survive. Other advantage in following this procedure is that there will be very less #emissions of green house gases which pollute the environment. Gradually #organic dry leaves will decay slowly and will become part of #organic soil.

Moral- Dry leaves of garden trees are not be filled in #plastic bags. This process will help in #emission of green house gases like #methane which will pollute the #environment.

Science Technology and Comfort Zone.

I am a science teacher in a government school. When I #overhear what my students are talking about. I sometimes feel that the #materialistic world is making students walk only in one narrow lane.

Students often talk about #TV Serial. I often ask them, "Which book are you reading nowadays?"Many students reply, " Madam, we only watch TV serials   . There is hardly any time for us to do extra #readings.".They are fond of driving #cars, but very few students talk about walking as exercise .

Many students carry big # smartphones to school, but one will never find students socializing with #friends and seniors. That has made many students very lonely.

Many times, I find students love #eating outside, and in this activity, they stop appreciating # homemade simple food. That has a big impact on # students' health. Some of my students are also overweight because of the bad habit of #eating out very frequently.

Many students wonder how to write letters on writing pads. But many are good at writing #emails through computers. Students hardly visit their hometown village. They have no idea how beautiful village living is.

In conclusion, science and technology have equipped one with very good time and labour-saving #apparatus, but technology sometimes does not let one realize simple pleasures like #reading a book and doing walking exercise.

Many students are not able to appreciate the value of # hard-earned money as they are always in a cycle of debt or #credit cards. Though this use of #plastic money is safe to handle, it has a different impact on one's life. This is so as students are not able to realize how much money they have spent in their #personal activities.

Moral - science and technology have created many #comfort zones in one's life. But one should be careful in enjoying these #comfort zones. Overuse of these zones should be avoided at any cost.

Mother's Unconditional Love

I am a science teacher in a government school. When I used to go to school, my mother would teach me many things out of love. I never realised how valuable my #mother's teaching is. I am now the mother of two little kids. I follow the practices of my mother. Now I realise the worth of my mother's #teachings.

My mother will wake us early morning. We used to recite #gayatri Mantra five times before going to school. My lunch box contained pranthas(fresh) of different vegetables along with pickles. Due to this, I have learned the art of #making pickles. Every day we had to solve problems in maths, even though it was a holiday in school. Five news items we had to write in English as well as Hindi. This exercise indirectly added to our general knowledge. My mother advised us never to have a desire to eat food from any friend's lunch box. Same training I give to my children also.

At night, my mother will make us learn #spelling and #multiplication tables. Some days she will check our #mental maths. To make us do all these activities, she used to sacrifice many social activities. I distinctly remember nobody advising her to do so. But she herself will put #imposition on herself to help out her children. Same restrictions I also put on myself to help out my kids.

I try my best to be consciously clear about that I do my duty as a teacher as well good mother. All this teaching of duty-bound traits I learnt from my mother. Despite being good home homemaker, my mother was a good teacher also

I being science teacher,  I now realise that my mother was a # scientist in her own right. Dedication and honesty to work in her home lab. Keeping all things clean and in order was her #passion. She had a very cute observation about her #cooking procedures. She had a strict eye on her #kids. Reading the news of newspaper daily and the Hindi-English magazine was part of her #disciplined routine. Her discipline was #driving force for kids.  She was never hard on us, but her disciplined life was our  #inspiration. She used to set boundaries for us. In the co-curricular activities of school and society, she will give us many positive #suggestions.

For early Science education, she used to make us #sprout seeds. She will make us participate in her #baking products. This way we learnt, measuring #liquids and #weighing solids from her.

Now I sometimes feel as if my mother had less time at her disposal for teaching her kids, but she (mother) wanted to teach much more and more. Till her last days, she used to help me solve day-to-day life  #problems as she was full of knowledge, she gained through her life experience. I miss her every moment.

Moral - mother's blessings in the form of emotional, physical and #spiritual training in early childhood go a long way with the child.

Science Challenges

I am a science teacher in a government school. I see science is facing a lot of challenges. The coming time is going to be dominated by #artificial intelligence. #Roberts are going to take up many physical labour jobs. A writer's ability to write is also going to be challenged by AI. Science fiction writers help in making # scientists' hypotheses that how society will look with the #dominance of AI in every sphere of life.

If I extend the idea of AI, then meaningful art drawn by artists that are in museums or are part of an exhibition, which eventually will be part of a common popular magazine, will make the common man understand what #challenges society/science are going to face in the future.

Another Good example is #climate change, #global warming data depicts that aquatic life is impacted. Data received can help in #modeling the said phenomenon in the form of an #analytical equation, but the best climate change due to global warming is expressed by an #artist. Art is a very powerful tool that can transform science's abstract ideas into #concrete art which laymen can understand. Word of mouth can be spread through art.

In conclusion, if one looks for a job that requires expertise in #STEM and #arts are ideal and best. One can transition from STEM to the arts when and where required.

Moral -Crucial burning issues which science/society is facing, like the use of AI and global warming, can best be depicted in mathematical equations, which can be used for digital learning. If the same learning when supplemented by a piece of art or good slides with meaningful figures can act as a cherry on ice cream in educational aid.

Macro Activities of Body and Mitochondria

I am a science teacher in a government school. I was teaching the structure of a general cell in my class. I talked about #mitochondria body present in animal and plant cells. I asked a question in class, "Can anybody tell me the function of #Mitochondria in the cell"

One student said, "mitochondria manufacture #ATP molecules which carry energy to #metabolic reactions in any system".

I said "without mitochondria, a cell will not have any capacity to produce the required energy for the system and eventually will die. "

I further said "#mitochondria receive specific molecules like #hydronium and it recycles ADP into ATP, which makes an energetic bond in ATP. That liberated energy is used to manipulate proteins, help in nerve activity and basically keeps one alive. "

Another student asked, "Madam!Basically, we should keep our #mitochondria healthy to keep ourselves healthy. "

I said"There is no magic to keep one's mitochondria present in one's cell healthy. One can't just concentrate on #mitochondria in isolation. What you can do is eliminate all activities on a macro level that can harm your body, like drinking alcohol, smoking, not exercising and staying stressed. These things cause the body over overwork overtime to eliminate the #toxic chemicals and thus also #mitochondria go into overdrive mode to provide energy to a system working hard to clear out the #toxicity.

Moral -Instead of focusing on keeping #Mitochondria healthy, one should focus on living a clean and healthy lifestyle.

Charity With Dignity

My friend Usha's daughter was living in Bangalore. For some urgent work, she was going to Bangalore by train. My friend Usha's husband was out of town. She called me for help. I suggested to Usha, "Please keep some money in cash in your suitcase and some money you keep in your purse to give to coolie and for other purposes ". Very kindly, Usha agreed to my suggestion.

I booked a ticket for Usha and always wanted to I should go with Usha and make her sit comfortably in the required train. I had some important assignments at school. In spite of my strong desire to accompany Usha till the railway platform was not possible.

As luck would have it, Usha reached the railway station in time. The train also arrived at the platform on time. As usual platform was crowded. Some #cheating gentleman snatched Usha's purse.

Usha was shocked. It was just 3 minutes before the train's departure. But the question was how to pay money to the gentleman, respected coolie. Coolie also realized his position and said, "Madam, you get in the train, please don't worry about my money. "Usha said, " I feel guilty, I am not able to pay you, gentleman. But if you allow me and give me a little time, I have money in my suitcase and will give you soon. "

This argument was going on between Usha and the respected coolie. Suddenly, one gentleman came from somewhere like God and gave Rs 200 to the respected coolie and got down from the train. Meanwhile train also started from its station for its destination. Usha did not get a chance to see that noble gentleman's face. Usha thanked coolie gentleman for helping her in a difficult situation. Usha #prayed and thanked an unknown #nobel gentleman for helping her in an odd situation.

Moral- Helping someone in odd circumstances gives one peace of mind. It is #charity in #dignity.

I never felt change

Every day at night when I am about to sleep part of my #soul inside me come and talk to me. Soul ask me, dear you are more than 55 years old. what have you lost dear. What have you gained dear?.

I say "dear soul, I do not have an account of what I lost in 55 years. ".I know I had a beautiful #childhood. I got good care, #love and affection from my parents' grandparents. When I attained my youth, I did not have #vivid memory of the same. Now I am an old woman. "

I further said to my soul, "I remember I was #daughter then a mother. This #transition was beautiful. "Now I am grand grandmother. This transition from mother to #grandmother is again beautiful. "

I further said, "Dear soul, I remember I was not #empowered woman. My childhood was #governed by my parents, and after getting married, my life was governed by my #husband and in-laws. I accepted this fact; therefore, life was peaceful to me. Now my #knees are no longer that strong. "

Dear soul asked me. "Dear you have any #wish which you want to full fill. " I said, "dear  soul, I wish I could be young and become #empowered woman."

Dear soul said, "Past is past, one cannot relive same. My sincere advice to you is to live your #present to your full potential. Please never tell me, I did not realise any change in life. "

Decluttering Science Home Labs

I teach science in a government school. I teach chemistry in school. Teaching chemistry labs to secondary level students requires a lot of #vigilance on the part of the teacher and #support staff. Acid bottles (concentrated) are to be wiped off very diligently after each lab visit by students. If not done, these bottles will spoil #working table of practical platform.

Side cupboards for chemicals used by students for salt analysis are to be refilled two times in a semester. #Chemistry store where glass apparatus and other less-used chemicals are stored requires Decluttering once a semester. One has to maintain a lab book, which #chemicals are about to be over. Stored bottles whose chemicals are over are to be decluttered once a semester. Visual aid charts, pasted in the lab like a periodic table, are to be cleaned from time to time. #Capillary tubes, burettes, pipettes, petri dishes, and gas jars stored in the lab sometimes get broken; therefore, broken apparatus are to be decluttered from time to time. That requires a lot of management and #time on the part of the teacher and support staff.

Decluttering at home also requires a lot of management. My two # cupboards are filled with chemistry books, help books, and practical books. Decluttering them, I have to think twice, as I feel I might need them. Many books, I give to needy #students. Then there are books for my children: storybooks, quiz books, etc. I declutter them from time to time. My clothes, my children's clothes, which I think their life is over. I put it in a bag and give it to my house help if she needs them. Then there are so many empty clean bottles in the kitchen store, which are used for restoring other edible items. #Decluttering, newspaper, and empty containers require help from scrab gentleman.

This cycle of #cluttering science/home lab with required chemical /eatables and science/home lab apparatus and then decluttering them when their utility is over is a #cyclic process and a parallel process.

Sometimes I hear comments in day-to-day life that Science teachers/homemakers are not helping students/children to the required level. They can do a better job. I feel I wish comment makers get a chance to look at #load of school teachers and homemakers.

Micro Joys and Longivity

I was a student of physical chemistry. I distinctly remember in the statistical thermodynamics course our madam taught us that every system we study in statistical thermodynamics has macro states and each #macro state has #micro states.

Today, I at once got the concept of #micro joy when I suddenly made coffee for myself in the morning. I realized there are so many #micro joys I do experience in my life. Some of them I am listing below for my #esteem readers. 1. Changing my daily routine example, instead of making bread butter breakfast, I cooked mini idly. 2. Looking into the mirror and appreciating changes in my expressions. 3. Making a video of my special cooked products. 4. On weekends, taking kids to the park, etc. 5. sending good, healthy jokes to my loved ones.

Giving importance to micro joys gives one #longevity. This is because there is a nerve #vague in our system. It is correlated with our #autopilot system, like heart beating, the process of digestion, etc. Somehow, one must keep this #nerve active. The simplest way to do it is to always appreciate #micro joys in one's life.

Moral- experiencing micro joys in one's life is easier #exercise. One should also express gratitude for the same. #Micro joys bring longevity in life.

Claps and Awards

It was # Teacher's Day in my school. My friend Gita was to be #awarded the best teacher of the school by the school administration.

Gita's son, Akash, was so happy that his mother would get the award, so he also came along with his mother to school to attend the award ceremony for his mother.

When Gita's name was announced for the award, the hall was full of the noise of applause. Many audience members congratulated Gita for the #award.

My self and Gita, Akash took an auto to come  home from #school. Akash is a very mature boy, and he said," Masi! I noticed in the crowd, many were happy with mom's #award, but there were a few though they were clapping, were not happy. "I said, " Akash, very good observation, beta. clapping does not mean everyone is happy. There are some in the crowd who are not happy. Therefore, one should play a very safe game in life. One should avoid those people at any cost. "I further said, "Akash, this is not with your mom, it happens whenever there is clapping for #award, some are in favour, others are not happy, still they clap. "

Moral -It is not always that #enemies come with danda and lathies, sometimes they come with #clapping also. They think that with fake #clapping, they are insulting the person who is getting the #award.

Fixing Boundries of Saying No

I am a science teacher in a government school. Initially, when I joined school, many senior teachers used to help me by giving me experience of different activities at school. It was good for me. But I found that sometimes I became so busy in school that I started missing my lunch. At that junction, I realized that I must learn the art of politely saying#no.

After one year of my stay at school, I became a little bold and started communicating with senior teachers about my boundaries to help students. I said, "Sir, shortage of time will #not permit me to help the student at a particular phase. "

Sometimes it was difficult to help my colleagues reach their destination through my car driver, as my driver has limitations of #not being very well versed with different routes of the city. In that case, I will say #no and clearly explain the situation to the person who has made his/her request.

Once, my senior teacher requested that I change my class with him. I politely explained to him that this change is #not possible, as for this arrangement to be possible, one has to take permission from the principal madam.

Once, my neighbor requested me water his plants in his absence. I politely explained," I can water your plants, sir, twice a week . Every day watering your plants is beyond my #resources ".

Above mentioned are examples in my life where I started learning the art of saying "no".

Moral - Before entertaining one's request for help, one should be aware of one's time and resources and limitation. So, according to the same, one should draw one's boundaries.

Yelling at Kids

I am a science teacher in a government school. For many years, fortunately, I was given the responsibility by the school to look into Parents and Teachers Association activities. During that responsibility, I had the fortune of interacting with mothers believing in different philosophies of #parenting kids. The same I am listing below

1. Mothers with high aspirations for children in academic and co-curricular activities.

These mothers push their children for academic #achievement, and after school, they send their children for sports and music activities. They don't mind setting a stressful environment for kids. They don't believe in many social platforms.

A positive point about these mothers is that they make it a point to sit in the audience and attend music/sports performances of their children. This activity of their mother gives children moral support, and they do well in music and sports

These tiger children of these determined mothers, I observed, are part of our school music group. My personal observation is that these tiger children are part of our school swimming team and basketball team. The school feels proud of these children's performance

Positive point of this approach is: it is good for students to get good grades in academic activities, and at the same time, they come to realise the importance of practice and commitment through music and sports activities. But this approach's negative point is that sometimes children are not able to carry them properly in social gatherings, and also become introverted. They are not able to understand their peers' behaviour. They feel lost, also.

2. mothers who are casual and work on suggestions of activities suggested by the school for their kids.

Children whose mothers don't push them hard are casual and always try their best to be in their comfort zone. But they have good social skills.

There are positive and negative sides to both approaches mentioned above for raising children.

My opinion is that taking children to the library is also important for their development. They learn expression and gradual command of language. It is good to limit screen time for kids, by making children visit museums and exhibitions, children get cultural education.

Children whose mothers don't push them hard are casual and always try their best to be in their comfort zone. But they have good social skills.

There are positive and negative sides to both approaches mentioned above for raising children.

The role of technology in the learning  of kids can't be denied. Social skills of children are also important, and social platforms given to kids at the right time make a tremendous difference in a child's personality.

Taking care of the balance of academic and co-curricular activity is best for children's development. If one feels that a child needs extra help. It is better to arrange a good tutor for kids' activities where need is required. But extreme pushing by mothers for any activity of their child, I think, is not going to give the expected result. Yelling at kids by a mother is not a good parenting skill.

Helping people to get Destressed

I am teaching science in a government school. Sumitra is our old student. She came to school to attend the alumni Association function. I was so happy to meet her after a long time. Sumitra is a special student in the sense that she is married to the most sincere IAS officer of the country. So whenever school has some administrative problem, Sumitra's generosity always helps the school with some amicable solution.

Sumitra said, "Madam, I am very happy with my life. My children are doing well in life. I have one big regret in life, that is, after marriage, I resigned from a #good job(lecturer ship). I never thought any time to increase my skills after marriage. If I were, I could have done so. I was misguided by my own thoughts that I would get the respect of the chief guest's wife, then where is the need for #working hard? But madam, I no longer enjoy that. I regret that I myself lost my identity because I was scared of facing a little #hardship. Now I know madam hardships make women strong. I started enjoying my comfort zone. I remember you, Madam Sukarma(sukarma.thareja.knp@gmail.com ), so much. You strongly #advised me not to forgive my #identity and make sure you add some #technical skills to your personality. Madam, I was ignorant and never thought of your advice #line of thinking. Time lost can never #come back. "

I said, "It's ok, Sumitra, one can never walk in time, which is #gone. Since you are relatively free now still you can  search for an #activity that gives you satisfaction. Please #work on that if possible."

Sumatra said, "Believe me, Madam Sukarma. It's so nice to do a # heart-to-heart talk with you. I have very few people in my life with whom I can do so. It has given so much #relief and peace today. "

I blessed Sumitra from the core of my heart and wished for her a successful and peaceful life. " I was also very happy to be part of Sumitra's conversation; I could make her a little distressed.

Never Disrespect Books

I am a science teacher in a government school. The metro station is my #mode of transportation to go back home from school.

The other day I was waiting for my metro at the #metro station. There were many college students also waiting for the metro to go to their #respective destinations. It was holiday season, therefore many students were going home. They were in happy mood. Every student had two to three extra books issued from the library. Some students were sensible and were carrying library books in plastic bags so that they could protect the library books from rain. Some students were a little careless and were #carrying books in a very filthy way. I was feeling miserable to see their short-sightedness.

Suddenly, I saw a very decent woman standing near me went to those students she said, "I am librarian in school. I am sorry to see how you are mishandling library books. Friends you don't understand how much hard work government does to bring a single book to #library. The purpose is to help students of our country to get knowledge through books so that they can become responsible students of our country. Please respect your books. They are giving so much to you. Imagine if you have to buy these books. I am sure you will think a thousand times before doing so. My request is not to misuse the facility. By doing so, you are guiding the coming generation of students to respect books. In Hindu mythology, we consider books as goddesses of knowledge. Please respect your culture and values. "

Many students #apologized to the madam librarian for their wrong doing. I also thanked the madam librarian for being so kind and courageous and raising her voice for wrong doing. I said," Madam, you are #true teacher in the real sense of the word."

Moral -Never disrespect a person or books that are giving you #valuable knowledge. Feel proud and fortunate for getting the facility to avail books from the library.

Celebrate Love

Love is a feeling. Mother's love is Pure unconditional. Pure love helps one to lead a happy life. Pure love gives one a feeling of a cushion on which one can always fall back. As one grows, one has siblings, and that love is also unique in a sense, as the name of one's sibling comes to mind! There is a collection of sweet memories in one's mind. Those memories are so unique that one always loves to relive them. School friends' love is also unique in the sense that one grows emotionally, physically with school friends. One has positive and negative experiences with them, which make up the foundation of one's youth.

When one goes to college, one gets exposure to romantic love. Here in a relationship, if the values of the couple are on the same frequency, then that relationship flourishes, and sometimes that relationship gets converted into a marriage-making of soul mates.

Some people are unique; they have love for coworkers, and they expand their love sphere to needy and unfortunate people in society. Are you thinking  of helping needy people  of society?

Sometimes Love is expressed as the most fake emotion. I have observed some people fall in love because of certain traits: Money, Looks, Status, Intelligence, Humour, Popularity, and Qualification. That love is an example of fake love that is a trap.

Moral-Celebrate love. It is a feeling from inside. So avail this opportunity of expressing true love. You may not get that opportunity again.

Where Do you Live Sir

I saw one beggar. He used to sit outside our #school. I sometimes used to give him some #sweets and #garments. Many #teachers used to help him one way or another.

He didn't come for many days. By the way, I inquired about the same from my #students.

One student said, "Madam, I have seen him outside side temple. I sent some #sweets to him through my student."

Another student said," Madam, I see him outside side #church on Sundays."

Another student said, "Madam, I see him outside side # Gurudwara. He seems to be ok."

Another student said, "Madam, I met the same gentleman (beggar) outside #pub bar." To my surprise madam, he said" Dear friend! when I used to sit outside #church, #temple and #gurudwara, I hardly used to get some pennies. Suddenly, I decided to sit outside the #beer bar, this place I get a good amount of money as #charity. He seemed to be happy, madam." But he jokingly also said "sometimes I ask #God you live somewhere else(beer bar), but you give everyone the resident address as- #temple, #church or #gurudwara---ha ha??? " What a miracle----"

Wasted Emotions

I am a science teacher in #government school. My friend Poonam was blessed to get married in a family that #respected Poonam a lot. Poonam had two kids, and her mother in law used to take care of her # grandchildren very sincerely. So Poonam was less worried about her kids when she was at school. I used to feel very happy for Poonam, for her #blessings. But unfortunately, my friend Ms Lal used to always tell me I feel #jealous of Poonam. Look at many ladies in our school, they are struggling so hard to bring up their kids, as unfortunately, their mothers-in-law, though they live with the family, don't #co operate to that extent.

I said, "Ms Lal, it is wasting our emotions if we feel #jealous of Poonam. We should get #inspiration from Poonam's mother-in-law and try to get some positive energy from her #good doings. "

Ms Lal also liked my #approach to life.

Moral- Those we #hate may do better than us in #life. So being #jealous is no solution. Best is to accept it with #grace.

Raksha Bandhan

India, Rakhi, a spiritual #festival, is very important as it sustains the basic #thread of family life.

My friend Sushma said, "Madam, somehow I forgot to send #Rakhi to my brother through the post. "I said it's ok, you just ring up your brother on Rakhi festival day and give your wishes," Sushma said. "I got a phone call from my sister in law," She said, "Dear Sushma, we received your pious #Rakhi today by post, thanks for the same. In case you are planning to visit us for the same, I am sorry we will not be at home, as we plan to go #somewhere else".

I said, "Please do not be disturbed, just keep good wishes for your #brother's family in your heart❤. That is the most #positive thing you should do. I further said, " I wish your sister in law # realizes that sisters visit brothers on the festival of Rakhi just to sustain the thread of relationship between brother and sister. They have no #greed for getting presents in physical or cash terms. Sister spend their energy, time and of course money to see how their brother's family is doing. I wish Sushma, your sister in laws, realizes this fact very soon. Sister-brother are #blessing of God."

Moral-Before concluding any happening in life, please have #positive emotions about the same. That will give you peace in life. Playing #mind games is not at all a good #attitude for life.
