My #grandparents used to live with us(our parents and we grandchildren).
It was such a joy when # grandparents were around. My grandmother used to make lovely #dishes for us. Both my parents were working, and their workplace was far from our house. We never faced the issue of being alone in the house. All sorts of odd jobs my grandparents used to do for us, and were prompt in attending to any tricky situations for us with great care and love.
My grandfather taught us multiplication table from 2 to 20. All difficult maths problems, my grandfather will teach us a trick to handle them. Our maths teacher at school was surprised by how you guys grasp difficult problems so fast. We told our friends and teachers that all this is possible because of timely help of our grandparents. For co-curricular activities like hockey coaching, music, etc, both my grandparents were particular and very fondly will take us for the same activities. Their rich experience in every field of life saved us many times from wrong doing. When our friends used to visit our house, they would teach them all activities with the same love and care.
This gave us training on how to be so much in love with one's mate. My friends were also fond of our grandparents. Sometimes they(grandparents) will be away for a few days. We used to miss them. All English spelling rehearsal, we will become weak and look for my grandparents' return date.
My parents were so relaxed about us when grandparents were there. We always wished that they always remain with us. As we grew older, my grandparents were quite #old but young at #heart to give us new ideas for our day-to-day #activities. They will do prayer every day in #morning and evening. Those Sanskrit #shlokas I remember till today. So much #treasure in the form of knowledge and good habit formation they have gifted us that we can never forget our angel grandparents at any point in our life.
Moral -Never disrespect your grandparents . They are back bone of your personality. Their contribution to your life, you will realise with time as you grow old.
