I was teaching in school. Whenever a student complains to me that he/she is not able to do # work-life balance, I will make him/her understand that work-life balance is very important in life. In fact, it is key to remain #happy in life.
Now I am an old person. The #hardest part about getting older is #striking the right balance in everything I do.
If I walk a little more some time, I do get #knee pain, if I walk less, I tend to put on #weight in all the wrong places.
If in function or at a party, I eat more, I get gas and #indigestion, if I eat less, I feel hungry at night and get a #headache.
If I eat a little spicy food at the party. I get acidity and heartburn. If it is bland, my #tongue doesn't relish it.
Sometimes I decide to cook something new and tasty, but reading the recipe itself makes me tired, so I go back to cooking the same old thing.
Sometimes I have to travel to the required #destination, but the thought of #packing makes me feel that I am better off at home.
Sometimes I wish to try something new, but can't do so as I can not collect the #courage or #stamina to do something off the beaten track.
Now I do realize work-life balance at a young age is different from that at an older age. This may be due to a hormonal imbalance at old age. At a young age, I had the energy but lacked #funds, today it's the other way round. I have the funds but lack the #energy. To save money at a young age, I used to travel far off from home in #public transport and would fetch things I needed at #reasonable prices. But in old age, I travel in #private transport and spend more money to get things I need. Sometimes I depend on #digital shopping to get things for my everyday requirements like milk and vegetables, etc.
Moral of Story-Dynamics of work-life balance at a young age are much different from the dynamics of work-life balance at an older age.
