Natural Sweetener

My friend Rachna was visiting me. I knew Rachna was fond of sweets. I told Rachna I would prepare rawa cake for you. Rachna educated me and said, "Coconut Sugar, which I have brought for you, is a healthier substitute for traditional sugar.  Coconut sugar is a natural sweetener made from the sap of the blossoms of the coconut tree. So I put my health first and use coconut sugar in my cooking wherever possible."

Rachna educated me about preparation, nutritional profile, glycemic index and flavour profile of coconut sugar, which I am listing below.

Coconut Vs. Regular Sugar: 4 Differences Between The Sweeteners

Rachna said," Coconut sugar is made from the sap of the blooms on coconut trees. Flower buds are tapped to extract the sap, which is then boiled to evaporate the water content, producing a concentrated syrup. To create granules that resemble conventional sugar, this syrup is further dehydrated."

Rachna further said, "Table sugar is derived from two different plants: sugar cane and sugar beets. The plant material is crushed, the juice is extracted, and the plant material is refined in several procedures to produce the well-known white crystalline sugar. A highly processed product is produced after the refining process, which is free from contaminants and

I said, "Conut Sugar is not a substantial source of Iron, zinc, calcium, potassium, and it has antioxidants and a few vitamins and minerals in trace amounts. Additionally,  it contains #inulin, a form of # dietary fibre that can act as a # prebiotic and encourage the development of good gut bacteria. Regular sugar, on the other hand, is heavy on #carbohydrates and has a high #glycemic index(60). It contributes  energy, without much in the way of vitamins, minerals, or other healthy elements."

Glycemic Index:

Rachna educated me about the glycemic index (GI), which shows how rapidly foods high in carbohydrates elevate blood sugar levels. Comparing coconut sugar (54) to ordinary sugar (60) shows that coconut sugar is diabetic friendly. This implies that ordinary sugar can induce a greater rise in sugar levels, while coconut sugar causes blood glucose levels to rise more gradually and slowly. The fact that coconut sugar has a lower GI is probably due to the inclusion of inulin and other fibres."

Flavour Profile:

Rachna said, " Coconut sugar stands out from conventional sugar thanks to its distinctive # caramel-like flavour and slight coconut undertone.  It adds richness and complexity to foods and drinks due to its rich, distinct flavour and delicate sweetness."

I said, " Regular sugar, in comparison, has no distinct taste or odour and provides a lot of sweetness instead."

I thanked Rachna for the gift pack of coconut sugar. Education provided by Rachna was eye eye-opener for me. We prepared and enjoyed eating rawa cake made with coconut sugar.

Ancient vs Modern Generation

In school, students always compare different aspects of the ancient generation and the modern generation. So this Saturday in school during co-curricular activity class, we discussed the same, and our submissions were as follows

There is not always an objective answer to this question. The concept of value varies from person to person, from era to era, and from culture to culture. When comparing ancient and modern generations, we need to consider different perspectives and criteria. When we discussed the quantity and quality of learning and knowledge. We found the following :

The opinion of the house was modern generation has access to far more information and education than the ancient generation. The Internet and technology have enabled us to learn about many different disciplines and cultures from all over the world. In addition, modern science and medicine are more advanced than those in ancient times, contributing to our health issues.

The house was also of the opinion that the ancient generation lived a simpler and more natural life than the modern generation. They valued their culture and traditions and lived in harmony with their community and environment. They also had their own faith and philosophy and found

Friends, we each us have our strengths and weaknesses. We can respect and learn from each other. We can learn from our past and evolve for the future. We are each valuable human beings. The best approach is to take the best possible good values and knowledge from ancient as well as

Mixed mode of teaching Aids

When I was small, we were given a lot of emphasis on writing. There used to be competition in school about good writing at the primary level. Every lesson was taught with the use of chalk chalkboard. There were no computers and laptops in our time. Every learning subject involved a lot of practice on paper.  We used to write notes of every subject on paper.

While digitization decreases students' Concentration levels, according to some study, spending too much time on digital platforms, including social media, can result in a lack of focus and concentration. To reap the benefits of digitization and continue to benefit from using writing tools for self-expression, individuals need to marry the two methods to enhance cognitive processes.

Dependence on technology: classrooms have become more technologically friendly, and I found that many of my students struggle when trying to complete schoolwork without any digital aid.

The moral of the story is to increase students' analytical power, educators should use a mix of teaching methods. Educators should use black blackboard to derive important points of the lecture, and for experimental demonstrations, they can take the help of a video presentation. Friends, all this I am writing from my own experience. This mixed mode of teaching helps students take notes in class. They are always active and alert. Both teacher and taught benefit the best benefit from mixed modes of teaching aids.

STEM to STEAM quote Sukarma Thareja

Discipline Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics-STEM becomes STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics)by extending the boundary conditions of the differential equation governing STEM.

The STEAM limit as A goes to zero becomes STEM. Where A stands for different formats of discipline Arts.

Courageous Women

It's a blessing to be #mother. Any country feels proud if creative, intelligent women and especially when they are mothers, are contributing towards building the country.

Women's contribution in building # socio- fabric of the country is special as their experiences of working add to #diversity of work. It is a known fact that diversity in any workforce makes its impact much more balanced and innovative

But being a work-from-home mother is very #challenging. To face these challenges mother needs support from many sides of society. Some moms are lucky; they can take a year off from jobs

Trying to go back to work after# maternity leave, there are several challenges to moms' physical and mental health, and deep down sometimes moms's entire income goes to her# nanny, so staying in her job just doesn't make sense.

Sometimes mom works part-time from home as a #writer and journalist, and it could be the best decision mom could have made. Mom took something she was already doing for fun (blogging) and turned it into a way to make some money while her #toddler was sleeping. Working from home left her able to eliminate childcare costs.

Working from home may or may not necessitate# childcare, depending upon the specifics.

Working from home may seem like a dream, but it also has its challenges. It can be difficult to stay focused while at home, especially when mom's kids are there too.

I  am writing all this in short as I have also been working from home-mom.In this regard, my humble submissions are as follows, which I am listing below.

Whether or not working from home is the best choice for mom depends on many factors

Mom can eliminate her# commute.

Mom has more time to spend with your children.

Mom doesn’t need to dress up and buy a work wardrobe.

Mom may have fewer distractions.

Mom may be able to eliminate or# minimize childcare costs.

There are some problems also

Home may be more #distracting than the office.

Kids at home may demand more attention from mom(even if you have childcare).

There may be fewer opportunities for Mom to advance professionally.

A working mom may feel# isolated.

Moral of the Story: Being a mom is priceless. The question is whether one happens to be working from home. Many factors are in favor, which save moms time on commute, and one can attend to the child's needs as and when required. As every activity has# positive and #negative points. So is working from home-Mom. But moms, be courageous and do whatever is best for you and your child.

Delicious Fries

I love # crispy and tender fries. I boil my potatoes before frying them. This simple trick can make a big difference in the taste and texture of your fries. Since I am a student of science, I  am listing below some scientific facts involved in the boiling of potatoes.

1. Boiling potatoes #deactivates an enzyme called# polyphenol oxidase, which causes potatoes to turn brown when exposed to air. This way, your fries will look more appetizing and won't have a bitter flavor.

2. Boiling potatoes removes some of the water content from the potatoes, which makes them less likely to stick together and more likely to crisp up in the oil. It also prevents them from #absorbing too much oil and becoming greasy.

3. Boiling potatoes closes the# cell walls on the surface of the potatoes, which creates a barrier that prevents the oil from penetrating too deeply into the fries. This helps them retain their shape and texture, and also makes them more fluffy on the inside.

4. Boiling potatoes partially cooks them, which reduces the frying time and ensures that they are cooked evenly throughout. This way, you won't end up with # fries that are burnt on the outside and raw on the inside.

Moral of the story-Friends, next time you want to make some # delicious fries, give boiling a try. You'll be surprised by how much it improves the # taste of your potatoes.

Parents Teachers Association

We had parent teachers association(PTA) in school. Its goal was to help students . Presence of parents in the meeting helped teachers in solving students personal problems.

As a parent and a teacher, we teachers were sometimes surprised at how many parents seem to take little to no interest in what or how their kids are doing in school, as well as how many parents push their children towards independence too early, for the sake of their own convenience.

We, teachers, were clear that if one's child is under age 10, and if parents can’t name a single thing their child learned in school this month, parents are not doing a good job as parents. We all teachers agreed that it's okay if parents are not able to help kids with their homework (although it would be nice), but at least ask their child what they’re doing in school.

When students are ages 11–14. The older ones are pretty independent, but the younger ones still need a lot of guidance. Yet I’ve had 11-year-old students whose parents just didn’t seem to care what their kid was doing in school. Emails to the parents would be read but not responded to. Phone calls would go unreturned. Parents looked bored in PTA, or never looked up from their phones in the PTA, or just never came to the PTA.

We teachers sometimes get annoyed with some children. We were consistently late, hadn’t eaten, were unprepared, and looked like we just rolled out of bed. The kids weren’t home alone. The parents were there. Parents thought their kid was independent enough to get themselves ready and to school consistently every morning.

Many times, we teachers had to buy lunches for students who had none. When teachers talked to the parents about it during PTA, some parents just said that the child was responsible for packing their own lunch every day. That’s fine… there’s nothing wrong with a kid that age being responsible… but we teachers used to request, please parents supervise your kid to make sure it’s done right.

We teachers used to feel sad for kids and always requested parents that kids are a long-term commitment, but many parents will not understand the same. We were fortunate that there were many good teachers in school. We collectively helped many students, and we teachers found that students improved a lot.

The moral of the story is that we, as parents, should help our kids as much as required. But parents must learn with the help of a teacher, where to draw the line that the parent is not required to help, and how much help the kid requires. When the cooperation of parents is extended to the teacher, it will be good for the teacher, parents and students. That will be win win-win-win situation for parents, teachers and students.
