Listening vs Reading

I am a science teacher in a government school.

To make my class interesting to students, I try my best to explain scientific facts to school students in the world of fiction. That is amazing for the teacher and the taught. Sometimes I could do it comfortably, but it needs more attention. Friends, please understand,  specific part of the regions of the brain is used for reading fiction. The same is involved in social understanding and storytelling.

One key area of the brain that benefits from reading fiction is the prefrontal cortex, located right behind your forehead. This region is crucial for higher-level thinking, like planning, decision-making, and understanding other people's perspectives. When we immerse ourselves in a novel, this part of the brain becomes more active.

https://share.google/5lcAAT3OiaD7Chn6Y

Nonfiction texts, on the other hand, rely on a brain network. Nonfiction tends to rely more on the prefrontal cortex of brain to process factual information and integrate it with existing knowledge. That's why reading fiction is easier than nonfiction texts."

I further said, "Neuroscience confirms it’s not just what we learn but how we engage with it that is important. "

My student Radhe said, "Madam, reading sharpens retention, while listening enriches emotional connection. Blending both feels like upgrading the brain’s learning software."

I said, " Dear students, reading matters a lot in the learning process. Even when listening is an option. Each activity offers something different, and they are not interchangeable."

I further said, "When you read, your brain is working hard behind the scenes. It recognizes the shapes of letters, matches them to speech sounds, connects those sounds to meaning, then links those meanings."

Radhe said, " Madam people often listen while doing other things, like exercising, cooking or browsing the internet — activities that would be hard to do while reading."

I further said, "Reading often wins for deep understanding, especially with complex or new topics. Listening works too, but reading lets you revisit, reflect, and hold onto ideas differently."

Radhe said, " Madam, when we listen, our ears receive sound stimuli, and our brain begins to interpret these sounds.Hence, listening is a process primarily involving the prefrontal cortex for complex cognitive functions. "

I said, "The Prefrontal cortex is the primary part of the brain responsible for processing sound and spoken language. Within the auditory cortex are the primary, secondary, and tertiary auditory areas, which handle different aspects of sound processing, such as pitch, music, and speech."

Radhe said, "Madam, it is very fascinating how our brains respond so differently to the two activities of reading and listening ".

I said, "Deep reading makes us more empathetic. As we let go of the emotional and mental chatter found in the real world, we enjoy deep reading that allows us to feel what the characters in a story feel. And this in turn makes us more empathetic to people in real life, becoming more aware and alert to the lives of

Moral - Reading and listening are important in the teaching and learning process. Both activities are connected to different parts of the brain. Both activities  mentioned  are not interchangeable.

Noise vs Silence

I am a science teacher in a government school. The other day, I was talking to my students about the difference between noise and silence.

My student Saroj said, "Madam, according to knowledge of physics, there is a big difference in frequency of 'noise' and the frequency of # 'silence".

I said, " Dear students, subject physics makes a distinct difference  in the frequency  of noise and the frequency  of silence." I further said, "When a person #hits another person with a stick, there is noise that is #generated. But when #God hits person  with a stick, there is silence or no noise created."

I further said, "Friends do take care of #bridges in life formed in terms of #relationship, #friendship and by keeping #promise. Please! Friends never break these precious bridges of life. If they happen to get broken in life in certain circumstances, they will not create noise in life. On the contrary, they will create silence in life. Which is very #painful."

Saroj said, "Noise is the presence of sound, typically perceived as loud, unpleasant, or disruptive, while silence is the absence of sound."

Rakesh said, " Noise is characterized by frequency and loudness, whereas silence is the state of having no or very low-intensity audible sound."

Saroj said, " While noise is often a disruptive external experience, silence offers an internal focus, promoting self-reflection and a deeper connection to one's internal processes."

I said, " Friends, when you are in silent mode, everything dissolves like snow on a mountain."

Rakesh said, " We need a place to be away from noise so that we can get peace in the inner world "

Saroj said, "In silence

The healing process begins

and creative thoughts  take their concrete path."

I further said, "Friends' silence is the language of God, and the divine enters us when we are in a silent mode. It illuminates our hearts.

Loud noise is harmful and can trigger stress responses and interfere with sleep and overall health. "

Moral -Silence is often sought for relaxation and focus, while noise can be stressful and tax our brains.

Silence is the language of God. While noise triggers stress.

Choosing Kindness

The other day, I was talking to my students about how to get our mindset for the act of kindness.

I said, " Friends we cannot control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we face it, and when things shake or become more complicated, we must always choose kindness and gratitude!"

I said, "Friends sometimes make mistakes about kindness. People  think that since a person is kind/they will let her/him self  get walked on by everyone.”

Sudesh said, "And on the opposite end, it’s easy to mistake 'only be kind to people who are kind to you' as 'give people the cold shoulder unless they earn your kindness!”.

I said, " Judge kindness by your energy. Invest where your energy will be put to use the best."

Ram Said, "I tend to invest in people until I realize that they aren’t interested in growing with me. I’ll have a conversation with him/her until I realize all he wants is an argument, then I’ll leave and go somewhere else. "

I said, "It’s not being 'unkind, ' it’s me reserving my energy for people who actually want to grow together."

I further said, "My main objective is to make sure another person’s lack of kindness doesn’t cause me to become hardened and unkind to others."

Radhe said, "It can happen very easily: You encounter a couple of cruel people here and there, you may conclude, 'People are just cruel!” And then you approach everyone with hard feelings, with anticipation of being abused by them, and you start spreading the same cruelty you’re trying to avoid. It’s a twisted cycle."

Rakesh said, "How to cultivate a kind mindset."

I said," Be kind to yourself."

Radhe said, "Extend the same compassion and understanding to yourself that you offer to others, especially during challenging times. But be careful! People may not take you for a ride, thinking that since you believe  in kindness therefore  you will get mistaken for their constructed  emotional  story."

I said, "Practice letting go of grudges to foster inner peace and kindness. "

Saroj said, "Madam, being kind to others gives you cool. When you help your friend, your happiness  will never end."

I said, "Every bit of kindness, like giving a smile or helping hand, etc., you give to others  one or other days will come back to you in one form  or another."

Moral -Kindness is a way of life. But be careful in the act of kindness, you do not get cheated. Cultivate the virtue of kindness by helping needed person at the right time.

Prerequiste of Smart Work

I am a science teacher in a government school. I am in charge of -curricular activities of the school.

The other day I met my old student Suman Dubey at a party. She said, "It is a world of science and technology. I believe in working smartly. Madam, I have been telling the same to my friend  Radha. But Madam Radha believes in working #hard. Madam, our #ideologies are different. "

I said, "Dear Suman, Radha is walking on #right path, and you are #illusioned by the path defined as working 'smart".

I further added"dear Suman! prerequisite of 'smart working' is -working #"irrationally" very hard. Walking on # 'hard-working' path is a fundamental  concept of every good worker."

I concluded and said, " Dear students, neither hard work nor smart work is inherently superior; they are complementary and equally vital for success. Hard work provides the foundation of dedication and experience, fostering skill development and resilience. Smart work adds strategic planning and efficient use of resources to maximize productivity and achieve optimal results."

Suman said, "The most effective approach involves combining both: using dedicated effort intelligently through smart planning to reach goals with less wasted effort and greater impact. The world appreciates smart work, but at the same time, hard work is also never depreciated."

My student Radhe said, "Sooner or later in my life, I will be acknowledged through my work as hard work pays off and smart work fades of."

I said, " Student taking inspiration from smart work, I sometimes teach by exposing students to practical skills and the real world. In this way of teaching, not only is theoretical knowledge given, but it also means that, apart from books and lectures, the student gets a chance to work in the actual work environment. According to me, this is a smart way of teaching."

Moral- The most effective path is often a combination of hard work and smart work. One can't work #smartly unless one has long experience of working irrationally very hard.Do you also believe  in smart way of working?

Company Product vs You

I am a science teacher in a Government school.

The other day I was answering to student's query. What is a good product of the company?

I said, " Dear students, your sweet humble#voice,  good #thoughts and your built-in relationship #bonds with others and loved ones are products of your own personality (company)."

I further said, "Friends, please #concentrate on the above all three stated products of your #personality.  The more you are #honest and #transparent  about them, in return you will become a brand in society and will get more #comfort in life."

My student Saroj said, " Madam, we must build a strong online presence through a website and relevant social media platforms, sharing valuable content and engaging with our client  network."

Sudha said, "I think we must  finally build a solid reputation by consistently showing up, providing value, and staying true to our authentic self to attract our desired audience and achieve our goals."

Radha said, " Madam companies create products, but customers create brands through their perceptions and experiences."

I further  said, "A company's product is a physical item, whereas a brand is an idea or set of associations stored in the consumer's mind. Students, your work ethic and execution of any project in life should be unique in a way that for  it is hard to copy. Then you will be on the path of becoming a brand."

Moral -Products of any commercial company are #sold in the market because it has #brand value. Same is applicable  to you. Please work on skills and traits in your personality, in the sense that it is almost impossible for others to duplicate your working style.
