Managing Emotions

I was a good student of my class in my school. My class teacher had given me the duty of managing my class if, by chance, a teacher is not able to arrive in class because of some emergency academic duties.

Initially, I found it difficult, and because of this, I used to feel uneasiness in my stomach. I complained about this to my grandmother. My granny said, "My child, you are passing through a challenging phase of mending your class. So anxiety is causing all this."

I was about 10 years old and could not understand, but now I am old and am handling so many responsibilities of the family and academic front. Now I know how important it is for a person to have a high emotional quotient in life. Being a mother and teacher, I try my best to inculcate high EQ among my children and students.

To do so, I often ask my students to write an essay on how they will manage and help the crowd in flood areas. What arrangements should one make for disaster management?

Some students are academically lower in some subjects. Helping attitude made bridges among students. That brought harmony in my classroom. Managing one’s emotions is critical in the game of life. Learning to manage those emotions starts at a very young age, and one should practice it throughout one's life.

Moral- To maintain high EQ in one's personality, one should practice empathy and gratitude very often, depending upon circumstances.

Most Useful Asset of Person

I am a science teacher at school. For an extra # co-curricular activity, I held a little discussion in my class. I asked my students, " What is the most useful asset for a person. "

Students came out with many positive answers. One student said, "If one happens to do #B. Tech computer science, data analysis, electric science, and have good knowledge of the subject, surely those #individuals are going to be assets for the nation. "

Another student said, "Persons who are dedicated #leaders and have #vision of helping people, are assets to the nation".

Another student said, "People who are involved in #building infrastructure of the nation without being involved in #corrupt practices are jewels of the nation."

I concluded the discussion by saying, " Friends! Most useful assets are persons, not heads full of knowledge, but hearts full of love, an effective ear to listen and more than willing to help others.

Never Die Attitude

I am a science teacher at school. Many students from class eleven go for private # tuition to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)

My student Sudhir Sharma was very hardworking. He was also trying his best to clear JEE. Somehow, he could not #clear JEE. He came to me and said, "Madam, my dreams are shattered. "

I said, "Sharma, you can spend another year on JEE #preparation if you wish".

Sharma said, " No, madam, I will join B. Tech #computer science in a private engineering college. After completing this, I will prepare for the national test. "GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). "

I said Sharma please don't give up. " With hard work and dedication, you still can clear #GATE. "

Other students told me "Madam Sharma is doing part part-time job in a factory after attending his regular classes inprivate engineering college. On weekend ends, he goes for coaching of GATE. "

After completing his B. Tech, Sharma took a small job in a company and in 3 rd attempt, he #cleared GATE and got into M. Tech program at IIT Gowhati. I was so happy for his #never die attitude.

Moral of the Story- When performance overtake ambition, one gets success. Best is to work on one's performance and walk towards one's #ambitions.

Do you believe in costly present

I am a science teacher in a government school. In the era of science and technology, every event,# occasion, big or small, is associated with giving #material present or receiving material presents. No doubt both activities of giving or receiving presents give very #unique goodwill.

Actually give and take of presents is a symbol of love #associated with a person.

I am not against costly presents. My personal observation is that if one believes in giving #costly presents, then the fun of the occasion does not remain to the same level. Some people always expect #costly presents, which may not be possible #every time. I feel that this activity sometimes gets converted to #commercial activity of giving and taking. Then the meaning of the present gets lost somewhere. Sometimes # goodwill is also lost.

Format to make goodwill

I strongly believe that #giving one's time to help someone is the best present one can give. I also strongly believe that if one happens to give a material present, it  may generat good will  but #time given to someone can not be generated again.

I also strongly believe that if someone has travelled all the way to wish me well, certainly he/she have spent energy and time, I must respect him/her. It's ok if she/he has not brought a material present for me. But unfortunately, many people do not understand this precious deep #philosophy of life.

I have also observed that many people avoid meeting their #loved ones in person as they are not in a position to give a material present which they once upon a time have #happen to receive from the same. Some people  make this issue very strong which look ugly also. Unfortunately they understand meaning of relationship  through this window of transaction.

Some people believe in giving cash instead of material presents. The philosophy behind this is that one can buy anything with the money that one thinks one needs.

I personly feel costly present or gift some times creat walls instead of bridge in relationship.  Costliest present, according to me, is to help others at a #difficult time.

Moral -Presents - gifts   given in the form of #material or cash are a symbol of one's love or #respect for others. The best is that one should avoid finding out gift value in terms of #cash. Doing this sometimes creates difficult and #hard feelings for each other. The best is never ever get into this type of circle of #transaction which sometimes  make relationship  bitter.

IQ and EQ Quote Sukarma Thareja

Life is a game of balancing between intelligence quotient [IQ] and Emotional quotient [EQ]. Educators should develop the overall  personality of students by inculcating playful tricks of building higher IQ and EQ in students in their teaching methods.

Without Relationship

I teach science in school. Many students of my class eleven go for #private coaching in physics, chemistry and maths. Many students move in #group. Some students are in the habit of not sharing #solutions to problems given in their coaching center. They think that by doing so, they will be #ahead of other students. In a way, they are in no mood to be in a good #relationship with other students in the group.

I tell "my students be open-minded and share problems # solutions with your friends that will make you wiser. "

I further said"students please don't think #relationship is a degree or diploma to start and end in 3to 4 years. It is a lifetime #course, not just to study but to feel and #live".

One student said, "Yes ma'am, when we grow up, we will have #memories of this time. Of course, we will have many #stories of this time. But Madam, if we do not have a #relationship, all these above-mentioned activities are of no use. "

Moral of the story. Please #nurture a relationship like a #plant and enjoy the fruit of it.
