Let us play Peekaboo,
Peekaboo teaches us,
Timings of social exchange,
Says my senior friends in school,
But I know how to play peekaboo,
Dear cutie,
When peekaboo is played behind trees,
It is given name Hide and Seek,
Or Dhapoo dear Granny.
Are you there Grandma,
The full moon is there in the sky
Sing lullaby for me granny,
Chand mama( moon uncle)
Story lullaby.
I will sing Lori/Lullaby for you dear cutie,
Angels coming from the sky,
Bringing pleasant sleep,
from Chanderyan in the sky.
Thank you Granny,
You sing lovely stories as lullabies,
Granny clouds are there in the sky,
Playing hide and seek with the moon.
Come fast granny,
Let us play hide and seek,
See lunar Uncle being eclipsed,
By Mother Earth,
Yes Grandma I can see,
Earth is coming in between,
The Sun and the moon.
We are so lucky Grandma,
Chanda's mama is playing
Hide and seek with us.
We are so fond of you Uncle Moon,
We mimic you, dear Uncle Moon,
Like you and myself and granny,
Play hide and seek around trees.
Please do not get eclipsed, Uncle Moon,
Your bright soothing light is our joy forever.
Peekaboo, hide and seek are classical games ,
My granny borrows from you,
And sing a lullaby in your praise,
And make me go to sound sleep.
You are so magical, Uncle Moon,
We can not live without you,
Your blessings are,
Our treasure Uncle moon.
