Best Revenge

Hindu epic Mahabharata has many small stories where one side gets involved in a strong ego and believes in taking #revenge on battle battlefield for their personal gains. Taking revenge is #negative emotion, and it starts chain reactions of negative feelings on both sides involved in conflicts.

Some people, due to a negative attitude, indeed try to harm you. Sometimes you get hurt emotionally, sometimes physically too. I agree with the same process, your #ego is hurt, and consequently, negative emotions get into your brain, and you start thinking negatively about how to take revenge for the same.

In this process, instead of moving forward, you are going #backward and remain always in a state of confusion. What to do, how to do. This way, your #concentration on your goal of life gets distracted.

Best to forget about taking revenge and move forward. Consume your precious energy in some positive #karma. Have faith in #almighty, he will not spare a person who is always involved in negative karmas.

The other day student asked a question about Revenge vs. Justice and Dharma

I said, "Dharma's supremacy in the epic The Mahabharata ultimately promotes the concept of dharma, or righteous duty, as the guiding principle."

I further said, " Let us take Pandavas as an example: Pandavas' wife, Draupadi, was insulted by Kauravas. The Pandavas did not seek revenge but rather a restoration of their kingdom through justice, a path that was supported by Krishna and ultimately led to the Kurukshetra War, known as a Dharmayuddha (war for righteousness). "

I further explained, "Dear student, Krishna's role in the epic Mahabharata was very important. Krishna's guidance was instrumental in directing the Pandavas toward a struggle for justice rather than a purely taking revenge."

On a personal basis, in the epic #Mahabharata Pandavas always let go negative karma of their brother Duryodhan. To avoid negative revenge emotions, even though they were ready to settle for five villages instead of the whole nation. But when it became a question of #"Dharma" involving the survival of their country, then Pandvas, with the guidance of lord #Krishna, fought the battle of #Kurukshetra.

Moral -The best is to avoid revenge emotions as far as possible and move forward in life.

Is your Lipstick sustainable

I was asleep. I saw my cosmetic lipstick came to me and started talking to me.

It said "Madam I am natural or organic lipstic and you (customers ) consider me to be better than inorganic lipstick as I do contain natural  ingredients."

It further  said "But friend  in my  making there is involvement of  large environmental footprint  due to water usage deforestation  and many times unethical  labour practices are involved."

Lipstick further said " Some natural ingredients contained in me require long distant transport which increases carbon emission in my making process. "

I said " Dear lipstick it means you are not sustainable."

Lipstick said " Yes madam".

Lipstick further said "Sustainability should account  for

1. Resources use

2. Labour ethics and energy consumption. Not just the ingredients labour."

I further said" Dear lipstick, the earth is our home, our place of rest. But we have harmed it, with our selfish ways in making of cosmetic like you."

Lipstick said "Yes I do agree there are scars upon the land and the seas in making of cosmetics".

I said "We must change our path in cosmetic making, before it’s too late."

I further said "In making of cosmetic we must reduce our impact on environment. This can be done by using techniques of green chemistry. "

Lipsick said "Using less energy, and choosing to embrace Sustainable practices in making of cosmetic, that will help to preserve the natural world."

Then came lab made lipstic (Inorganic Lipstick)and started talking to me.

Inorganic Lipsick said "Madam I contain  a range of chemicals, including heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and chromium."

I said "Yes dear lab made lipsick, I know you as well contain synthetic ingredients like parabens and phthalates. (primary concern is that parabens can weakly mimic the hormone estrogen in the body, a process called endocrine disruption).    These chemicals can pose risks to both human health and the environment. "

Lab made lipstick said" Yes right Madam"

I further  said"Products made from natural material may also emit large carbon emission  hence are not sustsustainable."

I realised that it is a dream and time to go to school.

I did some self talk and said to my self " Organic cosmetic or inorganic  cosmetic  must preserve environment, produce less e- waste and should take care of labour  ethics in their making then only  they can be sustainable."

Moral: Ut is not necessary that cosmetics made from natural material are sustainable.

Positive Interactions and Good Comminuation skill

I am a science teacher in a government school. I am also in charge of the co-curricular activities of the school.

I was at the metro station on my way back home. I met my old student, Inder. He said," Madam, I am working for the private sector. I wish to make my clean image among the employees  of my esteemed #company."

I said, " Rule of thumb is that you should interact with #clean positive people in your surroundings. If your #surroundings are like #clean water, your #image will be clean in society. Good positive  friends are an index that helps you develop a clean and #honest image in society."

I further said, " Dear Inder! The next step to build a clean image in society is to build good character. Good communication skills help in building good #characters. Therefore, dear Inder, start working towards the same. To achieve success in character building, please do not use unparliamentary language while communicating. Please do analyze your environment. "

I further said," Inder, we are social animals, and are affected by our culture. This culture unconsciously gets immersed in our behaviour. Therefore, surround yourself with culturally  #rich people."

Inder said, "Madam culture encompasses various forms of art, such as music, dance, literature, drama, and architecture, which serve as reflections of a community's history and image. Culturally rich people work to promote the same. I will try my best to work in the same direction. Hence will seek traits in my personality which will help me make a clean image."

Moral- Clean water shows your image. If water is dirty you can't see your image in it. Your positive communication skills are like water, which shows your image.  A sweet and confident voice helps you in building your good image and sound character.

Why Life in Circles

I was talking to students of the 9th class in co co-curricular activity class.

I said "In geometrical figures:  #circle, square and #triangle, if all three have the same area. What does Mathematical knowledge tell us about the area and circumference of a triangle? Circle can achieve that #area x with the least #circumference, and the triangle with the same area x will require the most #perimeter."

One of my students, Suman, said, "Madam, I understand life has parameters of #happiness, #sadness, #good times and bad times."

I said, "Let the life area be x. With x area, there are three modes of life which can be represented: circle, square and triangle."

Suman said, "Mathematical knowledge teaches us that the geometrical figure Circle has the least circumference, while a triangle with the same area x has more perimeter than the circumference of the circle. "

I further said, "A Geometrical figure circle, is simpler than a square and a triangle. Circle wins the battle of #simplicity also. Circles exhibit more #symmetry than squares and triangles. Because of above above-stated rules, the law of nature makes life #move in circles, not in squares or triangles of happiness, sadness, good times and bad times."

Suman said, "Circles can symbolize growth and renewal. Just as a circle completes itself, life can bring people back to similar situations where they can learn and grow. This can be seen in personal development and relationships."

I further  said, "Many philosophical and spiritual traditions view life as a journey that involves returning to core truths or values, emphasizing the idea of returning to one's origins or essential self."

Suman said, "Madam  Circles are often associated with balance and harmony, suggesting that life requires a balance of various elements (work, relationships, self-care) to achieve fulfillment."

I said," Question  is, why can't  life move in triangles?"

Suman said, "Triangles are inherently stable shapes; when subjected to force, the load is distributed across the entire structure, making it extremely difficult to deform. Therefore triangles  can't  represent continuity of life."

I further said, "Overall, the metaphor of life as a circle encourages reflection on the patterns, connections, and cycles inherent in our experiences."

Moral- It gives us a message if one is stuck with a bad time for a while in life, please do not worry, have #faith, good times are on the way and will reach you soon by the #movement of the life circle.

Friends Books Thoughts

I am blessed with good #friends. They guide me in every path of my life.

I go to the public library, and I am fortunate that I can read good books.

I have my respected seniors who are acquainted with the shortest route to reach college. I go by scooty, and I follow the same minimum #mileage route to college suggested by my seniors..That saves me a lot of time and energy.

Some of my friends taught me how to do right #thinking. They taught me 1. not to bunk classes. 2. Each class taught in college gives you valuable knowledge. 3. Making fair #notes of what is taught in class makes you good at subject matter 4. Many of my friends who were good at co-curricular activities encouraged me to #participate in the same. As a result, I started doing creative  #writing.

5. With interactions with my friends, I started reading books in the reading room in the college library.

Reading keeps my brain active, which is crucial for maintaining good mental health.

Reading unwinds and reduces stress. It Increases my knowledge-science and Vocabulary:

It expands my vocabulary and I learn new things by reading a diverse range of books.

Reading literary fiction, in particular, helps me understand others' perspectives and improve my social skills by understanding real-life experiences.

Moral -Try to keep good friends, read good books, keep good thoughts, walk on right path of life to get a peaceful #prosperous life. Even if you miss one #component listed above, in life. Life will #shatter like anything.

Revised Control life is Different from Let go Life

I am a science teacher in a government school. The other day, I met my very bright student, Sudha, at a school seminar.

Sudha said, "Madam, after getting married, it is good that I have made many new #relationships. I have learnt many new #skills also. But  sometimes I feel a little odd that  I am not able to do many activities that I used to do before  marriage, very fondly."

Sudha further said, "Madam, I was a regular visitor to the public library(once a week). I used to do creative writing regularly. I helped my helper son with Mathematics every other day. But after marriage, because of my new #responsibility,  I have to let go of some of my previous activities to which I had almost complete  control."

I said, "Sudha, you have to make #equilibrium between what you can control and what you can let go. For example, you can visit the public library after one month instead of going every week. Life is a collection of experiences of #changes with time. Your skill is in handling these changes so that life remains in equilibrium. Try to make the equilibrium #constant value  limit to  "one" for the above said equilibrium."

I further  said, "Dear Sudha, in life, control is actively trying to #micromanage outcomes, often driven by fear and a desire for certainty."

Sudha said, "While letting go in life is about consciously choosing to forget attachment to outcomes."

I said, " Dear Sudha, in let go process of life, you have to trust the process, and embrace uncertainty and the unknown."

Sudha said, "Madam, what you said is right. A balanced approach involves taking control of what you can (like your choices and reactions) and letting go of what you can't (like other people's behaviors or unpredictable events), leading to a more fulfilling and less stressful life."

Moral -Balance between #efforts to live and #surrender to live is a must to live a peaceful life.

I am a science  teacher in government  school. I am incharge  of co curricular  activities.

I said " Students today  is festival #'Raksha Bandhan'. It is Indian  festival which  #strengthen  the bond between  brother and sister. "

I further said "In festival  of Raksha Bandhan, I remember  old days when we were young and used to celebrate  in our own way. There used to be fragrance of love and #respect  for family bonds."

Asha said"Madam today is 'Raksha Bandhan' festival I very much wish to tie Rakhi to my dear brother in person. It is not possible for me, as he lives at far distance from my place. My heart beats to celebrate  festival  in same spirit."

I said "Friends!  #time and #destiny is not in my hand. Even my #heart beat is also not in my hand. But one thing which is in my hand to wish my dear brother "happy Raksha Bandhan". So I hold phone and #telephonically give my best wishes to my dear brother, for his long and prosperous  life. I am so happy for same. This way I am able to maintain long term, deep friendships with my brother, in which I am able to become a caring sister. I derive great satisfaction from that."

My student Radhe said "Madam I know person who totally disrespect his sisters putting his fantasy feelings ahead of his sister real desires."

Radhe further said "I realize that’s a lousy, selfish thing to do."

I said "Dear Radhe in a  situations mentioned by you, people  selfishness ruines all feelings of tenderness and friendship in relationship. "

I further said" Respect and trust are two important  apps to hold on for making good relationship. This relationship can be between boss and employee , brother and sister, two friends, husband and wife. Following  these basic apps of trust and respect you get satisfaction when you hold on to relationships. Even relationships can go for ever."

Moral-Please hold on good #relationships
