EQ gets you home IQ gets you a seat

The other day, I was talking to my students about the EQ and IQ of a person. It is important to work on improving  EQ and IQ.

I said, "Dear students, IQ -full form is intelligence  Quotient. It can be tested in a laboratory. IQ tests measure your ability to solve problems, use logic, and grasp or #communicate complex ideas. It is reflected in mark sheet.

I further said, "EQ full form is emotional Quotient. EQ can be tested in a laboratory.  EQ tests measure a person's ability to recognize #emotion in him/her self and others, and to use that awareness to guide their own decisions.

One student said," Madam, generally good  #leaders have EQ greater than IQ.  Intelligent persons with high IQ not only work on growing their skills, if circumstances permits, they see the emotional needs of other persons and try their best to help the needy in the growth of their skills in process/they grow his/ her EQ.

I said" the best way to increase or improve your EQ is to #observe and  write down your emotions  at a definite time at a definite interval throughout your day and try to correlate the behavior motions cause."

I further added"to improve your IQ, you can write how an x problem in day-to-day life can be solved without facing the least hindrance in way. It is like following the same approach as working through  #mathematical problems. "

I further  said, "High IQ does not automatically indicate a high EQ, while having a high EQ may indicate a high or average IQ at least and predict success at work ".

I also guided students about how to increase the EQ of a person .My submissions were following

1.Create a safe space where children feel comfortable expressing their feelings without judgment.

2.Validate their emotions:

3.Acknowledge and validate their feelings, even if you don't understand them or they seem excessive.

I also guided students about how to increase the IQ of a child

1.Try and steer children towards being curious, engaging, smart and individual, giving them lots of time and attention helps. Be present. Talk to them nonstop, even before they're born. Read to them from day one. Explode them to books, libraries, the news, knowledge and the

Sohan said"The EQ of a person can increase by observing model's healthy emotional behavior"

I said, "The best way to increase EQ is to show children how to manage their own emotions by openly discussing their feelings and how they handle them. "

Mohan said, "Madam IQ helps with strategic thinking, data analysis, and planning. "

Sohan said, "EQ drives communication, motivation, and connection."

Raghu said " People with higher EQ make good relationship bridges.while persons with higher IQ get good rank in professional  examination. "

Many students  said," Madam, from now onwards we will work on improving  our IQ and EQ."

I, as a teacher is so so happy that I can make my students think in  #positive direction.

Biodata vs Soul

Mom:Daughter! we are indian,

We believe in arrange marriage.

Daughter: Mom! Many girls have to marry

 to wallet, not men.

Mom: Many boys are forced to marry faces,

 not hearts.

Daughter :Mom!two strangers are forced

 To build a life,

Just because their parents liked a biodata.

Mom:Daughter !families check salary slips,

not compatibility.

Daughter : Mom !horoscope matches, but the souls don’t.

Mom :Daughter! Love is optional, dowry is mandatory.

True Man

True Men Touch Souls, Not Just Bodies

Mother: Daughter there’s a difference between a man

who wants you…

And a man who understands you.

Daughter: Mother anyone can say beautiful words.

Anyone can give gifts.

Anyone can chase woman for a night.

Mother :But a true man?

He sits with your silence,

And doesn’t rush to fill it.

Daughter:He remembers the thing you ,

Mentioned once, three months ago,

He notices when your smile is lying/real ,

He makes you feel safe enough to be soft.

Mother:That’s when he touches your soul.

Daughter : Mother See, the body is  material

But the soul?

Mother :Daughter the soul only opens ,

To someone who’s patient, honest, and kind.

Daughter: Mother A man who touches the heart

 First will always be remembered,

A man who only touches the body,

will always be forgotten.

Mother:Daughter true men don’t demand ,

They earn respect and trust ,

They don’t take ,

They protect,

They don’t break woman

They build her.

Daughter : Mother  when a woman feels,

That her soul is respected,

She gives her heart without fear.

Mother: Daughter!That’s not weakness.

That’s trust.

So yes. Men who are able to touch,

The soul and heart of a woman,

 are true ,

The rest are just passing by men .

Emotion Love

I was talking to my students about special bonds in any relationship.

The question is when special bonds are formed between two hearts.

I said, " Special bonds are formed between two #hearts. When two people help each other out of #respect and feel a deep #connection. This feeling/emotion is named Love."

Rajan said, " Special bond of Love means working through #problems together, chasing dreams side by side by being honest and trusting each other."

Radha asked," Madam, why is love not a feeling?"

I said, " Love is not a feeling (though we certainly do feel love), it's an intimate emotional bond that strengthens over time through a series of supportive actions. Friends, please take actions that build love and that strengthen love in life. And over time, the intimate emotional #bond that is love will be formed."

Mohan asked, "Madam, is love a positive or negative emotion?"

I said, "Dear students, love can vary in #intensity and can change over time. It is associated with a range of positive emotions, including happiness, excitement, and life satisfaction,  but sometimes it can also result in very powerful negative emotions such as jealousy and stress."

Ram asked, "What kind of emotion is love?"

I further said, "Love is a set of emotions and behaviors. Elements present in this set are intimacy, passion, and commitment. Love involves care, closeness, protectiveness, attraction, affection, and trust."

Inder said, " Many people think love is not an emotion in the way we typically understand it, but an essential physiological drive."

Mohan said, " Madam, is it normal to be #jealous when in love?"

I said, "It is normal to feel jealous when in love. The question is what you do with this jealous feeling. Please accept jealousy as part of your everyday emotional #spectrum. Please do not make it hyper, and the best is to ignore  it."

Hormones like oxytocin, often called the "love hormone," play a crucial role in forming bonds of love.

Moral-Honest help,  respect and trust for each other are three main #pillars of 'emotional' love.

Contributions of art Crochet

I am a science teacher in a government school. I am very lucky to have Mrs Mathur, my immediate neighbour. Mrs Mathur is a very good, mature, old, wise lady. She is a single mother of five grown-up kids.

She raised five kids single-handedly, and her kids were her whole #world.

She was working as a teacher in school before marriage.

She always thought that her kids were above her # career and social life. Ultimately, her whole life moved in circles of #motherhood duties. Now her #kids have grown up and are doing very well in their respective #professions. They do visit her whenever they get time. She also visits them whenever she gets #opportunity to do so.

She tells me, "Madam, now my kids are out of the house and I am alone. I am #struggling  to find out who I am?"

I suggested that Mrs Mathur conduct  Crochet classes for the community of our building. I said," This art has many dimensions. It is a creative art. It does not require much money either. This art helps old people in activating acupressure points of the body."

Mrs Mathur liked my suggestion. Now she conducts crochet classes in the community hall of our building. She charges a little fee to conduct the same. Community ladies very fondly learn this old #craft. These classes are giving Mathur aunt #fame and some # financial help. It is a win win situation. Mathur aunty and her children are happy. I am also happy. Senior community ladies are happy.  Everyone involved in this activity is getting a feeling of #satisfaction.

With the efforts of Mrs Mathur, the crochet community has increased. It has become vast and supportive, offering opportunities to connect with others who share their passion for crochet and learn from the experiences of others who know the craft. Young girls of our building are learning some tricks of Mathematics  in topics like permutations  combination through crochet classes.

Studies have shown that crocheting can be a form of therapy, helping with mental health conditions and life events such as grief or chronic illness.

Moral-involving community in positive activity is a satisfying experience.

Science Behind Names of kids

I am a Grade One teacher, and I say " parents who give their kids an odd name or one that is difficult to spell put their kids at a disadvantage when it comes to learning how to write. "
I remember I had a smart student, Arunabh, in my class. His name was difficult to spell, and it took him longer to learn how to spell it. Arunabh's parents were of the view that the name should have a good meaning, so whenever you call a child by his name, it should give a good impression on the child's personality.
While there were students in my class who had more common names with easier spelling achieved the task of writing their name quickly and had a sense of achievement for the same. Those kids who worked hard to learn how to write their name often exhibited a lower sense of self-esteem as they watched other students able to spell simple names like Rani and Raja quickly.
Sometimes, when I hear an oddly spelled name, I wonder if their parents have a clue what difficulties they're putting on their child. I say, "The idea of names is acting like a 'first handshake' for the ears, and it gives such a powerful image.
I love the connection to sound symbolism and how our brains associate names with traits." I further say, "
When you shout out x name, that name carry culture, history, and emotion and deserves to be treated with that weight.
A name like Rani, which means queen. The name Raja means king. Similarly name Medha means intelligence. All three names mentioned above carry culture and history, and emotions."

I strongly believe that it is such fun to pronounce the names of students and know their associated meaning. Many parents don’t realize there is science behind what makes names sound pleasing. Some of these names do have a nice ring to the ears. Like the female name Rimjhim rings so well in ears— gets me thinking about what makes a name memorable.
Some teachers believe that taking students' attendance with roll number saves much of their time. But I beg to differ from their opinion. Taking attendance of students by calling students' names has a positive impact on students' personalities.
I request my esteemed readers, "When you assign a name to a child, kindly take care of the following aspect in mind."
1. A child's name should ring pleasant in the ears
 2. The child's name should not be difficult to pronounce and write.
 3. If possible child's name should have good cultural and historical references.
The best example of the three aspects mentioned above is the name Ram. So simple to speak and write. It has a cultural historical reference. It sounds sweet to the ears. Short names with good meaning and a pleasant, sweet sound have a positive impact on a child's personality.
