My student Sudha gave birth to a baby yesterday. Today, her husband gave us good news and sent a photo of the #baby. I congratulated him and asked if Sudha was okay to take a video call after 5 days. Sudha's husband said yes, then I #called her after 5 days.
When I saw Sudha on the call, the first question I asked her was, “Are you still in #pain much? Have you been able to eat anything healthy yet? On the phone, I requested her domestic help to give Sudha #nutritious diet. I asked Sudha Can you walk to the bathroom yourself, or need help?”
And just like that, she cried on the phone. “Madam, you’re the first one to ask me if I’m doing ok. Everyone else just asks if the baby is ok and if I have breast milk to feed the baby yet.”
The next day, I went to Sudha's house. I stayed for a day and helped her out. She was so happy to get moral support. Thankfully next day her mother came to help Sudha.
Moral of the story-When a baby arrives in the home, everyone should remember that the mother has been rebirth. It is essential that the family should support the mother as well baby. This arrangement brings harmony and goodwill in family life
