Advise vs Praise

 

I am science teacher in government school. I am in charge of co curricular activities of school.

Another day I was talking to my old student Rekha who is teacher in government school.She said"I am observed madam whenever I advise my students to do particular activity in right way.Ninety percent of children do not listen to my advise and totally ignore it.Only ten percent of students take my advise seriously and act accordingly. Madam I  keep wandering how to communicate with young generation."

I said Rekha you are right "I have  noticed dear Rekha if some one(parents,teachers and friends)  happen to praise student x and  even if everybody knows that there is not even iota percent truth in that praise statement.Still student x will be extremely happy and will listen to it with lot of concentration.I find students are happy with false praise.It can give student  lot of difficulties in personality development."

MORAL-False praise is fraud which can  make one live in unreal  world.Good advise is real,  one should listen to it carefully and also act on it to develop one's personality.
